Footprints

As Pidge, Hunk, and Lance walked past the dark empty room they traversed through a long hallway with their weapons out just in case something unpleasant came out. Keith and Shiro checked the perimeter of second building it was very small but it had a cave behind it.

"So Lance, do you like Keith?" Pidge asked to be mischievous.

"What!" Lance shouted "why would.. just... what...I can't believe you just." Pidge and Hunk snickered at Lance loosing his cool, 'he definitely likes him' Pidge thought to themselves.

Lance took a deep breath in so he could create a full sentence. "Look Pidge, I don't have time to answer your girl talk questions. Let's just focus on the mission."

"Okay then." Pidge uttered in a pouty like tone but she was satisfied by Lances reaction . Lance was glad they dropped it for he was blushing. He was glad that it was super dark and that they couldn't see his face, if not they would tease and make fun, then they would definitely find out.

They finally entered the room where the signal was sent. The panel was destroyed with a large claw mark through. "What caused this?" Asked Pidge, they all looked at each other worried.

Back with Keith and Shiro they checked the perimeter and found a small pod that was utterly destroyed by its crash landing. Shiro and Keith saw some stains of blood on the seat that were still a little fresh as well as a set of foot prints leading to the small shack of a building. One person seemed to be dragged by another person with a smaller set of feet into the building.

"So there are two who crash landed." Keith voiced.

"Yea, there is nothing else out here so let's go look inside the building." Shiro declared. The two headed in to search for the two who were stranded here.

Shiro sent a message to Pidge about their findings, 'Pidge, Keith and I found the ship that crash landed there were foot prints indicating that there are two people here, we will follow them and notify you when they are found but stay where you are just in case maybe they are close to where you guys are.'

"Alright Shiro, just give us the signal when to leave." Pidge responded to Shiro's message. She then went back to tinkering with the damage panel.

"What are you doing?" Lance questioned as he looked over Pidge's shoulder curiously.

"I'm fixing this." She declared.

"Why?" Asked Lance.

"Because this is connected to surveillance in the building. Hunk can you help me with fixing this." She inquired.

"Wait if you guys are busy fixing what am I suppose to do?" Lance asked annoyed.

"I don't know. Hunk hold this here for a second." She asked. "You could watch our backs." Lance looked annoyed but followed her orders because he didn't really have anything better to do.

He walked around the room looking through the scope of his gun for any danger. He then saw a hole in the wall, he slowly approached closer too peek in, he shined his light in side. He saw nothing but a long dark empty cave. He then pointed his light down ward, there was a tiny green glowing lizard. It stuck its tiny young out at him, Lance chuckled at that, but as he looked more he noticed that the lizard was in a small imprint on the ground, it was a foot print.

With out a thought Lance started to follow the foot prints. The cave had a out of twist and turns. Lance then crashed into a wall, "Ouch, what the... whoa." When he looked up he saw the same large claw marks. He slid his hand following the impression of the claw marks. He stoped at a small hole, looked in it, then a small hand grabbed his fingers, he screamed.

Shiro and Keith look into the shack, "I guess someone has been living here." Keith said looking at make shift survival items. It reminded him of his time alone back at earth it saddened him that someone was living in this place, it's too dangerous.

"Hey Keith look at this." Shiro called over to Keith. He came over to where Shiro was standing, he was partially in the cave pointing his light towards the ground. "Looks like the injured was dragged this way while the small set of foot prints headed this way." He explained.

"I think we should split up." Keith said to Shiro, "you should take the side where the injured is located since you can carry him back to the ship for him to get medical help." Keith explained, "I will follow the other guy's foot prints, hopefully that will lead me to him."

"Okay then, contact me if you need back up," Shiro said worried, "or when you find them, once you find them then we will leave." Shiro and Keith went to follow the prints in the ground.

Mean while, "Um...Lance, where are you buddy?!" Hunk shouted as he noticed Lance's absence. "Uh Pidge do you know where Lance is?" Hunk asked.

"Hunk, if you don't know, then I don't know." Pidge exclaimed towards Hunk.

"Oh no do you think that thing that I saw took him!" Hunk started to pace quickly and nervously.

"I don't think so Hunk, we would of herd him and his loud shouting for help." Pidge said. "Ah- ha I did it, now lets see this video." Pidge said excitedly.

"What video?" Hunk asked

"Oh! The distress signal was a video but I was only given the title and coordinates, the video was corrupted as it was sent. And since it was transmitted from this place I was able to get the video." She said confidently. "Okey now time to play this."

The video was still had a lot of static and a face was barely made out, a child's voice was heard, 'hello, is some one any one there, we have crashed and my dad is severely injured we need help someone anyone PLeA...' in the end of the message a creatures growl is heard and the video stops ends revealing a large black lizard like reptile.

"Oh- no what should we do!" Hunk shouted now extremely worried.

"Okay lets pack up now look for lance and get out, help me here while I contact Shiro on this." Pidge commanded.

"Alright!" Hunk shouted.
