Waffles, Bananas, and Waterfalls

"Ow!!" Momone cried as Suzune furiously brushed her hair. "Stop brushing it so hard! OW!"

"I'm sorry sweetie," said Suzune "But beauty isn't always pretty,"

"Bird!" Yoshi said as he took Subaru's nose, Subaru had been holding his little cousin in his arms while Suzune was brushing Momone's hair.

"That's my nose," Subaru corrected

"Bird!"

"Kid, don't you know the names of any birds?" Kanata asked

"Books!" said Yoshi

"He's only two," said Kazune "You can't expect him to know everything,"

"Two is the age of learning," said Kanata

"Books!" Yoshi cried

"There!" Suzune cried with relief "Done,"

"Finally," Momone sniffed, teary from all the brushing and knots "Is my head bleeding?"

"No it's not," said Uncle Masamune before kissing his daughter's head. "Alright everyone, do you have your gift?"

"Yes!" Subaru, Kanata, Aine, and Momone said together

"Bird!" said Yoshi

"Wonderful," said Uncle Masamune "Now get into the car everyone, we have a long journey ahead of us,"

The journey was actually a lot shorter the first time, for there were no cars on the road, only one truck with a fruit logo on it passed by. Their ride was only half an hour long, and they seemed to have made it just in time.

Uncle Masamune knocked only once before Maori sung the doors open. "You came!" She wrapped her arms around Aine.

"Of course we came," said Aine "Happy birthday by the way,"

"Thanks,"

"This sort of defeats your too much celebration thing," Subaru whispered into Aine's ear.

"Huh?" said Maori

"Nothing," said Kanata

"Hello everyone!" Monica called as she ran over to the door. "We're so glad you could make it,"

"And we're happy to be here!" said Momone

"Bird!" said Yoshi

Monica smiled "Maori, why don't you take everyone to your room to play or chat or whatever you want to do,"

"Okay Mommy," said Maori

"Um, what do we do with ...?" Uncle Masamune asked, referring to the presents.

"Oh, just leave them on the kitchen island," said Monica

The five children left the gifts on the island and started to Maori's room after Momone made a joke about leaving the gifts on the island that was on the island. "Get it?" she asked

"Yes, hilarious," said Kanata

Momone loved Maori's room at first sight, after letting out a loud "SQUEE!" she began running around the room, trying to take in everything at once. She only got even more excited when Maori demonstrated the net. Kanata helped her climb around until her foot got stuck and she nearly fell.

"I don't want to stay in my room the whole time," said Maori "Do you guys want to see the water fall? Sometimes we see monkeys,"

"Ooh! Ooh!" Yoshi cried, as if impersonating a monkey.
