Yume's Phone Call

Subaru had a busy day planned, he had to buy Maori a birthday present, swim in the pool, play at the beach ... mostly it was a bunch of fun things he wanted to do.

As he and Kanata went down to the cafe to eat Breakfast, they were stopped by Mrs. Yuki. "Boys, boys," she said "Guess who's on the phone right now?"

"The king?" Subaru asked

"The president?" Kanata asked

"Even better," Mrs. Yuki turned her cell phone to speaker. "You're on speaker now," she said into the phone.

"Okay. Ahem, HELLO!!!" said a familiar voice

Subaru knew that voice anywhere "Boiled Octopus!" he said

"It's - *sigh* - forget it,"

"It's nice to hear from you," said Kanata "What have you been up to?"

"I just got back from Summer Camp the other day," said Yume's voice "I had a lot of fun but man am I tired,"

"Well vacation is as fun as it is stressful," said Subaru "I think Einstein said that,"

"No one said that, you dope," said Kanata

"Well I just got a lot of rest last night, what about you?" Yume asked

"Marshmallow roasting," said Subaru

"Fun. Hey, is your cousin married yet?"

"Not until next week," said Kanata

"Oh I can't wait to hear about it when you guys get back," Yume's voice told them

"Well we can't wait to tell you," said Subaru

"Oh! By the way, our cousin looks just like you," said Kanata "Not the one getting married, Aine. She looks like a bizzaro version of you,"

"She does?"

"No! She doesn't," said Subaru "Don't listen to them Boiled Octopus, you look nothing like her,"

"Well ... could I talk to her?" Yume asked

"Uh ... no," said Kanata "She's not here. Would you like for us to leave a message?"

"Uh, yeah! Tell her! I am the one and only and no one else is like me!"

"Okay, got it," said Subaru "Anything else?"

"Um ... well Summer Camp was fun!" said Yume's voice "I saw someone from Venus Prep! It was that girl Sena took out for School Spirit Week last year, Akari Ozora. Remember her?"

"A little," the brothers said in unison

"Well she's really nice, we were in the same cabin and had a lot of fun!"

"Well we met someone too," said Kanata "A little girl named Maori, she's also really nice,"

"It's birthday in a few days," said Subaru

"Speaking of which," said Kanata "We better hurry if we want to get her a birthday present,"

"Oh right," said Subaru "Um, sorry Boiled Octopus, but we have to go,"

"Already?" said Yume

"Another time maybe,"

"Okay. Bye,"
