"I want to go to the beach!" Momone told her mother "Can we go to the beach? I want to build sandcastles with Kanata!"

"I'm afraid we're not, maybe tomorrow," said Aunt Nene

"Why not today?" Momone whined

"Don't worry Momone," said Aine "Remember, Maori is going to show us the cows today!"

"Are they at the beach?"

"No, cows don't eat sand," said Subaru

"But don't you want to come with us?" Aine asked "You'll get to play football with Kanata and Subaru,"

Although it was nothing compared to picking up seashells on the beach or making more coconut sandcastles, Momone agreed.

After a long walk, the five children reached a huge grassy field over looking the sea. "There are the cows!" Maori cried with delight "Come on! Come on! Come meet them,"

"What about football?" Subaru asked as he spun the round black and white ball on his finger.

"Cows first, then play," said Maori, who was already running through the field.

"Oh come on!" cried Momone, who was so tired she had collapsed onto the grass "Can't we rest first?" But Maori and the boys were already gone. "Oh,"

"Come on Momo!" Aine swung her little sister onto her back "Let's go!"

Maori was stroking a cow affectionately as it ate the grass at their feet. "This is Daisy," she said "Over there is Rasha, Clover, Big Edna, and Sally!"

"They're all beautiful," said Aine

"Aren't they?"

"Um ... Big Edna is eating my jacket," said Kanata, showing the sleeve the cow was munching on.

"Aw, she likes you," said Maori

"How do you get her to stop?" Kanata asked, pulling on his sleeve

Maori walked away from Daisy and to Big Edna. "Edna, sweetie, Kanata would like to keep his jacket," said Maori. The cow didn't let go, just kept eating. "Edna, please let go of the sleeve," Big Edna still didn't let go. "Big. Edna. Stop chewing on Kanata's jacket at once!" She still didn't listen. "Oh, she's stubborn,"

"I can tell," said Kanata as he started pulling on his sleeve as hard as could. Momone tried to help by pulling on Kanata's waist. It didn't do much good. But finally, after a little struggle, Kanata freed himself, but his jacket sleeve was completely torn off. Big Edna was still eating it.

"The worst part is she'll just throw it up later," Maori said with a sigh

Kanata sighed as well "You know what, who needs a jacket?" Kanata took off the jacket and tied around his waste by tying his remaining sleeve to the end of his jacket. "Come on, let's play!"

Momone tried to play football with her sister and cousins (and Maori) , but couldn't because she was so much smaller. Maori wasn't even that much taller then she was but was turning out to be an all star!

"How are you so good?" she asked during break

"I don't know," Maori shrugged

Soon, the four of them were back to playing, Aine and Subaru vs. Kanata and Maori. It was such a dull game to watch, except for the few parts when the ball would roll over to her and she'd get to kick it over to them. But twice she missed the kick (even though the ball was right in front of her feet), and one time she had kicked the ball so hard that it flew in the air and hit the back leg of a poor cow.
