Monkey Talk

In Subaru's opinion, Karen, Mirai, and Suzune spent too much time looking for glass jewels to add to the dress. He had never even seen the dress! The time they spent looking for little decorations to put in the center of tables was even more ridiculously long.

Luckily, Maori was there to keep things interesting. She ran away few times and waited until everyone realized they lost her. When she came back she was always laughing. It was even more scarier when she left with Momone or Yoshi. Finally, Suzune scolded her and told her to stop, Maori agreed not to and did stop ... after she did it again. This time, Karen threatened to take away the promise of snow cones. She stopped.

Finally, the promise was fulfilled and everyone got snow cones and they rested on some benches. "BRAIN FREEZE!!" Maori cried "AH! I hurts!"

"Stop eating so fast," said Kanata

"I can't help it, it's so good!"

Subaru smiled "Glad to see you're feeling better,"

"Yeah, how have you handled the ... news?" Aine asked

Maori swallowed the flavored ice she put in her mouth and frowned. "I don't know," she shrugged "I already rarely saw him ... at least he's not dead,"

"Yeah, that's good!" said Momone

"Ooh! Ooh!" Yoshi cried "Ooh! Ooh!"

"Is he trying to sound like a monkey?" Mirai asked "Oh that is so cute!"

Yoshi pointed to a tent next to them. "Ooh!"

They looked up. Sitting on top of the tent, starring fixated at them, was a monkey! "Waffles!" Momone exclaimed

"Waffo!" said Yoshi

"Waffles?" Karen asked

"Our monkey friend!" said Aine "Hello Waffles, it's great to see you again!"

The monkey descended down a near by tree and stood on the ground in front of them. Mirai took pictures, Momone cried "Squee!", Suzune grabbed Yoshi, holding him away from the animal. "Can I pet her now?" Momone asked

"No," said Suzune "She may be nice but she's still a wild animal. She could have ... diseases, or give you tetanus,"

"I don't think you can get tetanus from a monkey," said Kanata

"Ooh! Ooh!" Yoshi cried, reaching out his arms toward Waffles "Waffo! Waffo!"

"Yoshitsune Yuki, no," said Suzune "You'll get sick,"

Waffles began to chase her tail in a circle at breaking speed, and when she stopped, she stopped so suddenly and started starring the the Yukis. Aine clapped "Hurrah!" she said

"This is adorable," said Mirai as she took lots of pictures

Suddenly, Momone gasped "Waffles, why don't you come to the wedding?"

"Momone, you can't invite a monkey to the wedding," said Suzune

"Oh sure she can," said Karen

"I don't think Kazune will have a problem with it," Mirai added

"But monkeys do have such busy schedules," said Aine "Maybe she won't be able to come,"

"I'd ask, but I don't know monkey," said Momone

"Ooh! Ooh!" said Yoshi

"I think Yoshi is on the right track," said Kanata

"But I  actually know how to speak monkey," said Maori

"Oh really?" Karen asked

"Yes,"

"Then could you ask Waffles if she can come to the wedding?" Subaru asked

"I'll try," Maori put her snow cone down and took a few more steps forward to the monkey but still kept her distance. She began making perfect monkey impersonations, she moved her arms around, almost like dancing. "Ooh! Ooh! Ah! Eek! Ah! Ooh? Ah? Eek?" Waffles screeched and Momone jumped back but Maori was bothered "Aah! Ahh! Ooh!"

Waffles screeched again then took off. "What did she say?" Kanata asked

"She either said she'll see if she has the time or she had to go to the bathroom," said Maori

"I guess we'll see at the wedding," said Subaru

Once they were back at the hotel, Karen and Mirai headed up to Karen's room to work on the wedding dress, Suzune took Yoshi up to bed, Mr. Yuki came up to the younger members of the merry band. "Maori, your mother called," he said

"Oh! Yeah," said Maori "Did she say I have to go home?"

"Well it's highly suggested,"

"Oh,"

"Um ... Can Maori stay longer?" Aine asked

"Hmm?"

"Can she stay longer for the fireworks and sparklers and ... stuff? Maybe she can stay over night," Aine pleaded "You'd want to do that, right Maori?"

"Yeah! Can I? I can call my mom!" Maori cried "Maybe she can come too! Can I?"

"Yeah! Please Uncle Kaito!" Momone begged

"Um ... Maori will have to ask her mother first -"

"YAY!!" Maori cried

"SQUEE!!" Momone exclaimed

Night had fallen and the Yuki families were running around the beach with sparklers in their hands and fireworks in the sky. "This is the best!!!" Aine cried

"Agreed!" said Subaru

Maori was trying to make shapes in the air with her light, Kanata was next to her doing the same. Aine caught her breath from all the running and watched. "Those two really are great friends," she said

"I think she's like a sister to Kanata," said Subaru

"That's cute,"

BOOM!

Another firework was set off.

"Awesome!!" Momone exclaimed

"Star!" said Yoshi

"That's not a star Yoshi," said Momone "That's a firework! Can you say firework?"

"Star! Star!"

"Guess not," said Mrs. Yuki

"Best day ever!" Maori cried "If the wedding is as exciting as tonight, then I can't wait for Friday!"

"Adn you weren't excited before?" Kazune asked

"Well now I'm even more excited!"
