I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, making my way downstairs and following the smell of bacon. Walking in the kitchen, I looked around, expecting to see Chloe, but was confused when all I seen was a bunch of ugly men looking back at me.
"Where's Chloe?" I asked, walking farther into the kitchen. I just got a bunch of blank stares. I rolled my eyes. "Has she not been down here?"
"No," Sebastian said quietly, getting eggs out of the fridge and putting them next to the stove.
"Oh. She wasn't in her room, so I figured she was down here where the food was." A couple people chuckled, even though I wasn't trying to be funny.
"You were in her room?" Sebastian asked. I looked over at him, watching as he tensed up and starting clenching his fist. I rolled my eyes again.
"Don't start."
He turned around to say something, his face showing his anger. I shook my head when he tried to talk, turning around and walking back towards the stairs.
I took the stairs two at a time, walking towards her door. I knocked, thinking that maybe I just missed her and she was in her room, but when I didn't hear her say come in, I walked in anyway.
"Chloe?" I whispered. I gave myself a confused face. Why was I whispering? I shook my head, walking over to her bed. "Chloe?" I asked again, this time louder. Still no answer.
I walked out of her room and across the hall, knocking on the bathroom door. "Chloe, are you in there?" I asked. She didn't answer. I grabbed the door knob and slowly opened the door, just in case I didn't hear her the first time and she was in there. When I didn't hear anyone say anything about being in there, I swung the door open fully. She wasn't in there either.
I panicked slightly. I walked back down the stairs, glancing in the kitchen to make sure she didn't make her way in there while I was looking for her.
"Chloe?" I yelled, slightly running into the living room. When she wasn't there either, I fully panicked. I ran through the hallways, throwing doors open and hollering her name. By now, everyone was crowded at the kitchen doorway, watching me make my way towards them.
I stopped in front of them, panting, and ran my hands through my hair. "She's not here," I whispered. "She's not in the house."

Chloe's P.O.V.
"How far along are you?" Doctor Howard asked. He continued running the wand over my stomach, stopping when he seen my baby on the screen.
"3 months," I replied, watching him hit a few buttons on the keyboard in front of him. I looked at the screen, smiling slightly when I seen baby Elijah on there. "Is he okay?"
"He looks normal and healthy," Dr. Howard said, "but just to be on the safe side, I'm gonna run what's called a Non-Stress test. This is where we hook you up to a fetal monitor, allowing us to hear your baby's heartbeat. We'll mark whenever your baby moves, it'll help us tell if your baby is responding well or if there is a placental problem, like an abruption. It's completely safe, and the test normally takes four hours."
I nodded and rubbed my eyes, suddenly feeling very tired. Dr. Howard got up from his stool, reaching over and grabbing a towel. He looked at me questioningly, but I didn't understand what he meant.
