I don't think anyone realizes how bad my baby fever got while writing this.

6 moths later

I sat with my legs crossed on the bathroom floor, smiling at my beautiful baby boy in the baby tub in front of me. Elijah giggled, splashing the water with his chubby hands and giggling some more. He loved baths more than he loved naps.

"Ma ma ma ma," he whispered, staring at the washcloth that was in his hands. He lifted it up towards his mouth, still staring at it like it was the most amazing thing in the world. It fell out of his hands and back into the water, splashing water back up into his face.

I watched as his lips started to quiver, and he looked up at me, his beautiful blue eyes shining. He began crying, and I picked up the soft towel beside me, taking him out of the bath and wrapping him in it.

"Oh baby," I whispered, kissing the top of his head.

I heard the front door open and keys jingling.

"Daddy's home," I said, walking out of the bathroom and down the stairs.

Paedro stood at the front door, taking his jacket off. When he seen us, his eyes lit up. I smiled at him as I got closer, and he leaned in and kissed my temple. He looked down at Elijah and smiled, holding his hands out for me to hand him over.

"Hey big guy," Paedro cooed, kissing him on the cheek. Elijah giggled, patting Paedro on the cheek.

"Ma ma ma," Elijah cooed back, and I laughed.

Paedros been trying to get him to say da da for a while now but he couldn't yet.

"Da da," Paedro said, nodding his head at Elijah. Elijah just stuck his tongue out and left it there, drooling on Paedros arm. "Da da. Say it buddy. Da, da."

"Ma ma ma," Elijah said back, grinning like he just got the biggest toy in the world.

"Close enough," he muttered, sending me a glare when I snorted.

We walked over to the couch and sat down, me snuggling up to Paedro while he bounced Elijah in his lap. Two weeks after Elijah was born Paedro told me how he felt about me, and how he wanted to raise Elijah with me. Fast forward to now, and Paedro's my fiance and even though he's not biologically Elijahs father, he still considers him his son.

Paedro is no longer in Sebastians gang, he works at a law firm as a lawyer instead. After I had Elijah, Sebastian still didn't talk to me, nor did he ask to see his son. He agreed to let Paedro out when Paedro asked, and every weekend the guys in the gang comes over to our house to visit and see Elijah .

I grabbed the TV remote off the arm of the couch and turned the TV on. Sebastians face was the first thing I seen. I studied the picture and quickly realized that it was a mug shot. He looked way older than he actually was, with his scruffy beard and grown out hair. He was only 19, but he looked about 30. Maybe older.

I turned the volume up, and watched as his picture went to the top right corner of the screen. A video was playing now, and it showed Sebastian being led out of a building handcuffed. Police cars were everywhere, completely surrounding the building.

"Sebastian Fox, leader of the gang Forsaken,  has finally been caught after being on the run for two months," the news lady said. "The police have been looking for him ever since they got a tip about him doing a drug trade. When the police showed up, Sebastian began shooting, killing four officers and an innocent bystander. That led to a police chase, and Sebastian managed to escape. Now, this dangerous man is finally behind bars."

"Oh my god," I whispered, staring at the screen. "That's awful."

Paedro didn't say anything, and I looked up at him, noticing the sad expression on his face. "Hey," I whispered, leaning up and kissing him on the cheek. "Whats wrong?"

He shook his head, looking down at me and giving me a quick kiss on the lips. We both turned and looked at Elijah, who was smiling at us.

"I'm so blessed," Paedro whispered, pulling Elijah closer to him. Elijah lifted his head up towards Paedro and opened his mouth, putting it on Paedros cheek. He began licking him, and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt when I seen Paedros expression. Elijah pulled back and put his hand where his mouth just was, smearing his slobber all over Paedro. I laughed harder, tears leaking out of my eyes.

"You're gonna get it," Paedro said, glaring at me. If looks could kill, I'd be chilling with Satan right about now.

"I didn't even do anything!" I snorted, still laughing.

"I don't care. You're laughing at me. So you're gonna get it."

I leaned over and kissed Elijahs forehead before kissing Paedro.

"I love you," I said, smiling up at him.

"I love you too." He leaned down and gave me a toe curling kiss. I leaned up into him, deepening the kiss.

Elijah let out a jealous cry, and we broke apart, turning our head and looking at him. He giggled when we did, leaning forward and resting his head on Paedros chest.

"Ma ma ma ma," he cooed, reaching his hand out towards me. I held it and smiled, laying my head on Paedros arm.

"Mommy loves you," I whispered, kissing his fist.

"Daddy loves you too," Paedro whispered to him, kissing his head.

We sat that way for a while, and I was okay with that. Because for the first time in a long time, life was great.
