Part 37- It all makes sense!

Rachel's POV

I attentively listened to the recording. I was shocked with what I was hearing.

Recording:

"Hi Erin!" Maddie said.

"It's a lovely day isn't it?!" Scott said, smiling.

"Yeah, I know you only want Rachel for her money!" Erin said, smiling sweetly.

"What?!" Maddie asked, laughing nervously.

"You heard me!" Erin said. "Breaking the battery and saying it's ten times the price it really is to fix it, pretending you's don't have enough money for wedding outfits and pretending your boiler broke! It's all fake! All of it!"

"That's not all!" Maddie said, smirking and chuckling.

"Yeah, we also pretended we were being evicted from our flat! We just got two thousand pounds for saying that. And we got four thousand pounds yesterday!" Scott chuckled eviley.

"You's are sick!" Erin spat.

"But you can't prove it!" Maddie smirked.

"I'll tell Rachel!" Erin spat.

"You can't prove it!" Scott laughed.

"I'm her best friend!" Erin spat.

"And?!" Maddie chuckled. "You may be her best friend but she loves the so called bond she has with her parents!"

"You's are disgusting!" Erin spat.

"We don't even love the little freak!" Maddie laughed.

"Yeah we can't stand her!" Scott laughed. "But playing pretend will all be worth it when we drain her bank account dry!"

They both laughed.

"Erin!" I yelled. "Joe says we need you!"

"Better go up!" Maddie said, smirking.

End of recording:

They just wanted me for my money! It all makes sense now; all the hints! I gave into them, i'm such an idiot! I couldn't help but allow the tears to fall down my face.

"H-how could they?!" I sobbed.

"Because they're scumbags!" Joe said.

"I thought they were good people!" I sobbed. "I'm such an idiot for believing them!"

"Rachel stop this right now! We all believed them!" Erin said and gave me a hug.

"I don't want them near me any longer!" I angrily said. "They've not only conned me into giving them six thousand pounds, they've also conned me in giving them my love!"

I stomped downstairs with Joe and Erin following close behind.

"Hey darling?!" Maddie said. "Ready to splash the cash?!"

"Well you'll know about that won't you?!" I spat. "That's the only reason you're here!"

"Darling what do you m-" was all she could say before I interrupted.

"Don't darling me!" I spat.

"Woah Rachel, what's wrong?!" Scott asked.

"You two!" I spat.

"What?!" Maddie asked.

"You's two only wanted me for my money!" I sobbed.

"Has your best friend been spilling lies?!" Scott asked.

"I wouldn't trust her Rachel!" Maddie said. "You can't trust her! Get rid of her!"

Erin scoffed.

"Your game's up!" Joe spat

"I recorded the whole conversation!" Erin spat.

"Oh" Scott said.

"Yes..... oh!" Erin said.

"We were just kidding!" Maddie nervously laughed. "Now come on, let's forget about all this misunderstanding and go shopping, love!"

"Love?!" I laughed. "You don't love a little freak like me!"

"Rachel come on let's go!" Maddie said, touching my arm.

I shook my arm away.

"I'm not going anywhere with you!" I spat.

"Just give us the money then and we can go!" Scott said. "It'll give you a chance to cool off!"

"Oh, you want more money off me?!" I laughed. "How much were you thinking?!"

"Well, it's a special day isn't it?!" Maddie said. "Maybe about eight hundred for the dress and two hundred for the shoes!"

"And maybe a thousand for everything for me!" Scott said.

"So two thousand?!" I asked.

"Yeah!" Scott and Maddie said in unison.

"Two thousand!" I laughed. "You're not getting a single penny from me, never mind two thousand pounds!"

"Fine!" Maddie spat. "We meant everything we said!"

"You're our goldmine!" Scott laughed.

"You's are a joke!" I spat.

"No you are!" Maddie laughed. "No wonder we gave you up!"

"Well you know what, I'm glad you's did to!" I spat. "Because the thought of being your daughter sickens me! I'm not your daughter and I never will be! The people who raised me are my real parents. They may not be here today but i'd rather be without them than have you's in my life! I don't need to have a so called family with you's, because I have my friends, and they're my real family! I have my best friend who is basically my sister and knows me better than anyone else in the world. And I have my amazing fiance; the man that one day i'll have children with. I'm going to make sure i'm a better parent than you have or ever will be, even if it kills me! You see, I have a great life! And you's aren't part of it! I never want to see either of your faces again. Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Now get the hell out of my house!"

Maddie and Scott were speechless, they stormed out.

"You ok?!" Joe asked me.

"I'll be ok!" I said. "Because I have you guys, and our wedding to the look forward to!"
