Erin's POV
Rachel invited me to go baby furniture shopping with her and Joe to get stuff for the nursery today, but I said no. I'm going to talk to Jack. I need to explain the real reason I lashed out on Rachel, and how I really feel about us struggling to have a child.
Jack and I were currently sitting on the sofa, with the TV on in the background. I turned the TV off and placed the remote on the coffee table.
"Jack" I said. "We need to talk!"
"What about babe?!" Jack asked.
"I need to explain the real reason why I lashed out on Rachel!" I said.
"What?" Jack asked. "Why did you then?!"
"Because she's pregnant!" I said.
"Why does that make any difference?!" Jack asked, confused.
"I was jealous!" I said. "We've been trying to have a baby but it hasn't been working. I want to have a baby so badly. It's just been so frustrating, and I took it out on Rachel! I know I shouldn't have but I couldn't help it! I regretted it as soon as I said those things!"
By this time I was sobbing.
Jack came closer to me, put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry!" I sobbed.
"Erin it's ok!" he said. "I understand why you didn't tell me the proper reason! I feel the same way; i'm desperate to have a child with you. But it'll happen eventually! The world would be wasting too much of an amazing mum to pass not having children! You'll be a Mum one day!"
"I just wish I told you sooner!" I sobbed.
"I know!" Jack soothed, tightening the hug. "That can't be changed but now you've told me, and we can get through this together!"
"Thanks!" I said, snuggling into him.
Jack gave me a kiss on the top of my head.
"If you ever feel like this again, just talk to me!" Jack said. "I'm your husband, and i'll always be there for you. You're my wonderful wife, I love the bones of you! And we will have a child together that's just as beautiful as you!"
Jack and I cuddled on the sofa and watched TV.
I'm so glad I've told him!
