Part 47- Lost my best friend!

Rachel's POV

It was time for Zoe and I to meet Alfie at the park. After spending far too much money, we were knackered. 

"Why do we have to go to the park?!" Zoe wined.

"Because!" I laughed. "I have something to show you!"

"It better be good!" Zoe moaned. 

"Oh, it is!" I laughed. 

Joe's POV

Alfie told everyone to be at the park for 6pm. I'm really confused but i'm just going with it. All I know is that Zoe and Rachel are meeting us there. I wonder what's happening?

Zoe's POV

Rachel and I just arrived at the park. It was beautiful; there were fairy lights scattered around, candles everywhere and soft, soothing music was being played in the background. Everyone was there; Alfie, Joe, Erin, Jack, Conor, Marcus, Tanya, Jim, Oli, Josh, Mikey, Byron, Niomi, Mark and Louise. 

Alfie was all dressed up in a suit and had a bunch of roses in his hand. He came over to me. 

"Hey!" he said, grinning.

"Hey!" I laughed. "What's all this?!"

"Zoe, i've loved you since the very first day I met you. You're not only my girlfriend, you're also my best friend. You mean the absolute world to me. We've been dating for six years, but I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore!"

"Oh!" I said. 

Was he breaking up with me? 

"Which is why!" Alfie said and he got down on one knee, opening a box with a beautiful diamond ring inside. "I wanted to ask you; Zoe Elizabeth Sugg, will you do me the honour in being my wife? Will you marry me?!"

Everyone gasped. I put my hand over my mouth in shock. I can't believe it! Alfie wants me to be his wife!

"oh my god!" I whispered. 

"Well, don't leave me hanging!" Alfie laughed. 

"Yes!" I squealed, tears of joy filling my eyes. "Yes, i'll marry you!"

Alfie pulled me towards him and we shared a long, passionate kiss, whilst everyone cheered and clapped in the background. 

Rachel's POV

Zoe and Alfie went off together. Erin was standing by herself so I walked over to her. 

"Hey, you wanna come back to mine and watch a movie?!" I asked. 

"Oh, so now you want to spend time with me!" Erin scoffed. 

"What?" I asked, confused. 

"And why me? Why not Zoe?!" Erin said, angrily. 

"Alfie told me about the proposal!" I explained. "I was going to invite you but Alfie said I couldn't. You have to understand!"

"Is Zoe your new best friend or something?!" she asked, raising her voice. 

"Sshh! Don't raise your voice!" I said. 

"Oh i'm sorry! Scared that everyone will find out the truth?!" Erin yelled. 

"What truth?!" I asked, confused. 

"You've really changed!" she spat. "Some best friend you are!"

Everyone looked over at us. 

"I haven't changed!" I said. 

"Yes you have!" Erin yelled. "Maybe it was a good thing you lost the child! You only care about yourself anyway! Luckily that child won't have a self centered Mum like you! This baby would be lucky if it happened to them too!"

Tears flooded my eyes and trailed down my cheeks. How could she say that?!

"Woah!" Joe yelled. "What the hell did you just say?!"

"You don't mean that!" I lightly sobbed. 

"Oh I do!" Erin yelled. "I wish we never found you when Harvey kidnapped you. I wish when Joe hit you with the car he'd have finished you off, heck I wish when Harvey shot you, you didn't make it!"

"That's enough!" Zoe screamed at Erin. 

"Erin!" I sobbed. 

"Oh poor Rachel! Go on, turn on the waterworks!" Erin spat. "All you ever want is for people to feel sorry for you! Poor Rachel for being in an abusive relationship and was too weak to get herself out of it; poor Rachel for having a miscarriage; poor Rachel for being kidnapped; poor Rachel for being shot; poor Rachel for being raped!"

"How could you say that!" I sobbed. 

"How could you say that!" Poppy yelled at Erin. 

"What the hell Erin!" Jack yelled and pulled her away. 

"You know what! You deserved everything Harvey did to you!" Erin spat and walked away. 

This was it, I just lost my best friend!

Obviously you's know that this book is based on mine and Erin's sort of escape world. I just want to clarify that I know Erin would never say anything like this to me! She's the ultimate best friend and I love her loads!!
