Chapter 11- halloween dance

Kat slowly examined it shaking her head in disbelief, "It's more then just yours it's better." She laid the knife on the counter and removed her gloves from her hands leaping back towards her computer. I looked back down at the knife "what do you mean better?" I edged my face closer towards the object to get a better look, Kat pulled up video and images of the area "her knife is in fact the same except for one minor adjustment..she has a black carbon edge framing. Thick and enhanced enough to throw it into the ground and make it stand up without any problems." She rolled her chair back over to the counter and admired it one more time. "That can't be the company that makes the same knife like mine went out business a few months after Marco got locked up." I walked around the large room with my arms folded, Mel threw a blue rubber ball towards me and I caught it as we began throwing it back and forth "well some how some way she has almost an exact replica and Mel you said she also had a bow and arrow right?"

"Yeah it was she had some type of archery skills." Mel added

"Then she's clearly either mocking gio or ..copying him." Uttered Kat

"Why I don't get it." I leaned against the wall throwing the ball at Mel.

"Cause bro you got a secret girlfriend!" Mel laughed and I threw the ball at his head his smile quickly stopped as he glared at me "You son of a-" I got ready to throw my stick at him but he quickly stopped "we'll have it solved gio don't worry you'll find out your secret admirer." Kat let out a chuckle I stared her down "anyway it's pretty late guys let's call it a night we got school tomorrow morning." I suggested and snuck back In my house. As I stepped in footsteps quickly approached my bedroom door I panicked and jumped in my bed throwing the blankets over me, Jason opened the door "who's there!" He held a baseball bat and shined a flash light in my face nearly blinding me. "Aye aye keep it down..." I said he searched around my room a bit and turned off the flashlight "why is your window open?" He demanded to know I quickly spoke " I wanted some air it was hot in here." He squinted at me "why are you up?"

"I was uh um...watching porn..."

Jason quickly became more disgusted then upset he shook his head and sighed heavily walking back out my room closing the door behind him. I sighed like a weight was lifted off my chest later then I went to sleep. The following morning I woke up and got ready brushing my teeth and quickly swiping a couple pieces of bacon my mom had left on the table like that I was on my way to school. Going threw the Day was pretty easy until I found out about the Halloween dance Mel of course was going with Kat and I probably wasn't gonna go anyway, but why have the fear of any dance since 5th grade any dance all the way to 7th I was always asked by the same girl she always asked me to go with her to the dances. I know me out of all people I still don't understand why but she always asked me I knew she was coming it was only a matter of time before Elisabeth would catch up to me. I bumped into Emily while rushing to math she dropped her books and I felt like a asshole if I didn't help her pick them up, "I'm so so sorry I didn't mean to drop your stuff." I picked up a couple textbooks she began picking up notebooks.

"Don't sweat it trust me it's cool." She chuckled as I handed a textbook  to her. A girl asked Brice to the dance as Emily and I just got everything together, the whole hall was filled with cheering screams and taunting noises echoing so loud the school from the next block over could probably hear. They both hugged and celebrated "It's so stupid going out of your way to Embarrass yourself and ask someone else out." Emily mumbled as she adjusted her stack of books, I nodded "Only to have others put it on blast." I said folding my arms, Emily laughed "Exactly right! besides dances are stupid you going?" She asked as we both watched the other kids congratulate the two going to the dance. "Probably not.." I shrugged she placed her arm on my shoulder shaking rapidly " Hey you should come to the birthday party I'm having next Wednesday night my moms gonna be on a business trip in hellview and I'm throwing a party around 6 next week!" She shouted her eyes filled with excitement "thing is I don't thi- " I was quickly interrupted by Mel who put his arm around me squeezing me harder "We'd love to come gio could really get out of the house anyway." He widely smiled I shook my head frantically "No no we can't come we have WORK bro remember!" I shouted

"Oh no we don't bro!" He moved me around a little more.

"Great see you guys there." She smiles and walked away, I quickly faced Mel and punched him in the shoulder he took a second then punched me in the stomach then I punched him in the arm as hard as possible Mel stopped me from another shouting "WAIT.... what are we fighting about again?"

"You just ruined my plans dumbass that's Wednesday our training night!" I gestured at him and sighed heavily.

"Oh that bro you need to take a break from all that hero stuff you need this! When was the last time you took a night off ..hmm?" Mel argued back I looked down taking the moment to think, although he was right he still had no right to do it "how you gonna go you and kat were going to the movies after training."

"Bro.,bro..I have the perfect plan.." he smirked and folded his arms as we both walked off to class I was stopped by Elizabeth who tapped my shoulder "Heeeyy gio so uh I was wondering if, only if you might wanna go to the dance with me!?" My heart sunk and I looked down "oh Elizabeth I'm sorry but I'm not going to this dance I know but looks like you're gonna have to do without me.." I softly gulped her eyebrow flexed "what why not that's dumb you went with me the first four times why not this one."

"Because my ...grandmas sick and you see this Friday I'm going to to help her all day." I softly looked away like always when lying.

"What..aw man well there's always next time I'll catch it next dance I promise!" She hopped off skipping as I let out a gasp for breath, wow I thought I was dead! I rushed off to class since I was already late and didn't bother running to my locker for my text book.
