Chapter Eighteen - Little Heartbreaker
"Oh my god," I muttered as I fell to my knees on the floor.
Staring at the little white sticks that lay on my bed spread, acting all innocent. But they all red the same, whether it was a smiley face, the word positive or a plus sign. It all meant the same thing.
But I couldn't be pregnant. Not now.
"Danielle, your pregnant!" Hannah stated the obvious.
"Yeah..." I barely replied to her.
I just didn't wanna move, I didn't wanna speak. Hell, I didn't wanna have this baby. But there's no choice for me now.
"I'm so excited!" Hannah burst out giggling.
I turned to her with a what-the-hell look on my face and she scurried over to me to pull me up onto the bed. I sat there still staring wide eyed at her, as I pushed myself back so my back was against the wall. Hannah joined me and had a big smile plastered all over her face.
"Your seriously happy about this?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yeah! My best friend is bringing new life into the world!" she exclaimed, enclosing me in a hug.
"It's easy for you to be happy! Your no the one who's gonna be in pain in nine months time, shoving a watermelon shaped human out of your lady hole " I ranted a little bit.
I now understand why I've been all moody and hormonal recently.
"Yeah but with the moral support of your best friend at your side!" she tried to lighten the mood. It didn't work.
"I always imagined that when I'm in labour, I'd be shouting at the asshat that got me pregnant in the first place, telling him that it's all his fault and that he's the reason I look like a beach whale," I dramatically said.
"Ooh, onto other matters.. It's not gonna help who that asshat will be," she mentioned.
I then grew still again thinking about that matter. It can't be, it can't be Zacks. I haven't slept with Zack since before Christmas, and all the test say that I'm only four weeks pregnant. What happened four weeks ago.
"What big event happened four weeks ago?" I asked Hannah grabbing hold of her arm.
"Ummm, exams? The fete? Thomas Goodings party?" she listed.
Uh oh. Max. I slept with Max at that Thomas Goodings party. Crap.
"Uh oh," I murmured.
"Uh oh is right, I mean, your gonna have Zack there all the way through the pregnancy now. Once he finds out that your pregnant of course," she admitted.
She thinks that Zack is the daddy of my baby?! I could have honestly burst out laughing any second there but left out a few giggles instead. It was understandable that she thought that considering that we were together for so long and everything. But no, just no.
"Your wrong Han," I confused her.
"Yeah I guess your right, you won't let him or Katie anywhere near your child.. But I garentee you that he'll at least want some access to his child," she thought it over.
"Wrong again, that's the problem," I claimed.
"Are you not gonna let him see your kid at all? I mean, I know that he treated you badly but he at least has a right to know," she chimed in again.
"No he doesn't," I snapped.
"Why not?"
I had to be honest, just straight up honest towards her and tell her the truth about everything. She was my best friend and I wasn't really supposed to keep secrets from her anyways.
