10. SHINee Jonghyun - Don't say goodbye. (Sad)

(I'm not writing the scenario because I guarantee that it will be a spoiler and no one likes a spoiler.)

Three year of an up and down relationship. You and your boyfriend Jjong have been through a lot, and you survived when the roller coaster went down from the top. But when you got the acceptance letter from Harvard University, your head got filled up with different things. You think about turning them down and staying in Korea where your boyfriend is, however, Harvard is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and you've been preparing and dreaming of getting in since you were in middle school.

"I should tell him, but if I do, he'll get devastated. He might not even talk to me anymore. Otteoke?" you mumble while walking back and fourth in your living room. "I should though, he needs to know."

You finally made your decision to tell him, so you grab your coat from the racket and decided to go and tell him. On the way to the SM Studio, you were nervous, hesitating. But you rminjd yourself that you have to do it.

"Oh! (Y/N)! Annyeong! Are you looking for hyung?" Taemin calls you.

"Yea. Where is he?" you ask eagerly, wanting to get this over with.

"He's in the dance studio, third room on your left." He says pointing out the door.

"Oh. Komawo." you fake a smile. You didn't expect Taemin to notice it.

"Are you alright? Is everything okay between the two of you?"

"Yea. Why would you think something's wrong?" you lie.

"Well, you don't usually come here at this time."

"I just want to check on him and stuff." you lie again, he seems to buy it.

"Oh. Arasseo, I have to go get some food for us, I'll see ya." he says walking away.

You walk to the third door and twist the cold door knob. You push open the door and you see your boyfriend Jjong, laughing with his friends. The sight sends a pang to your chest, which causes a lump in your throat to grow. The boys seem to notice you and Jjong looks your way.

"Oh! Babe!" he says getting up on the floor and runs up to you. "What's up?" he says with a bright smile on his face.

"Nothing, just missed you. You seem to be very happy." you fake a smile.

"Oh. Key was telling us a joke and a really funny story." he says in between chuckles. "You wanna hear it? I can listen to it over and over again, I swear." he says wiping his eyes.

"Ummm, I don't have time. I have to talk to you." you say looking down, thats when he noticed something was up.

"Gwaenchanha? What's wrong?" he says cupping your face so you can look at him. You notice that his smile starts to fade.

"We have to talk. I have to tell you something." you say, your voice shaking, butu you managed to hold the tears back.

"Ok, let's go." he says leading the way to the balcony of the building. "What is it?" he asks as soon as you reach the balcony.

"I- I-" you can't seem to find the words. "Yeogi. It's all in there." you say handing him the letter.

"Omo! Are you serious! This is amazing babe! I'm happy for you!" he says hugging you.

"But I have to leave for America." you say so quiet, you're not even sure if he heard it.

"What? When?" he says, his smile fading.

"I have to leave today for an interview." you say as tears fall from your eyes.

"Oh. I can't-"

"I know you can't come, you have a meet and greet today. It's alright. I don't want you to miss it." you say looking away from him.

"I will skip just to spend the last minutes with you. I don't care if our manager gets mad or the fans get disappointed, I just, I can't- I-" he starts to tremble. You take his hand.

"Jjong, it's okay. Your career is more important than me..." you say.

"You are more important than anything." he tells you, tears streaming down his face. "I can't let you leave like this."

His words makes it harder for you, his sweet words makes him closer to you.

"I have to go. Goodbye Kim Jonghyun." you say running away.

"Don't say goodbye! Don't...I can't take it like that. Please." he say running after you.

You ignore him and keep on running, wiping your tears as they fall down. You never expected it to be like this, harder than you ever thought. You stop at the stairs and you had to hold on the railing for balance. You hear his footsteps approaching you, and you feel a hand on your shoulder. You turn around to see your boyfriend crying.

"Look babe, you don't have to say goodbye. You don't." he say with a shaky voice.

"I have to, we have to say goodbye. I will be staying there for four freaking years Jjong. That long, I don't know if you would still love me like how you love me when I am here with you. It's already hard when you go in defferent places. In four years, you can meet a better girl, one who will not leave you. You don't deserve this Jjong, you don't." you say looking down on the floor and letting your emotions out.

"I love you too much to let you go like this. Goodbye isn't the solution here, we can make it work. I promise. I can go visit you there during my breaks, I can. I will do anything, just to stay with you. I am not telling you to not go, I just want to let you know that we don't have to give this up. We don't," he says cupping you face.

" I don't know. I just don't."

"Let's give it a try, if you're having a hard time, we can... stop it." he seems to choke on the last words. "You just have to tell me, just no goodbyes. I can't take goodbyes."

"Alright, we're gonna try it. But promise me that you will not skip that meet and greet, arasseo? I will still be back after three days, that's when I'm gonna wait for their call. But if I pass the test, I might stay there." you say wiping his tears on his cheeks.

"Arasseo. And you promise me that you will pass that test no matter what, it's your dream and I want you to take the opportunity, arasseo?" he says staring straight into your eyes.

"Oh." you say. He leans in to give you a kiss and his lips crash on yours. The kiss was hungry and the two of you absorb each and every second of it, like it's the last kiss.

"Hyung! We have to prepare for the meet and greet! The manager needs us!" Key calls him and you pull away from the kiss.

"Go, you promised me. Go make your fans happy, and don't think about me during shows or concerts okay? I don't want you to be miserable." You say.

"I won't and you go show those people that you deserve that place in Harvard. I love you so much, only you." he says.

"I will. And I love you so much too, only you." you say and give him another kiss.

"I'll see you later, Kim Jonghyun." you smile.

"I'll see you later, (Y/N)." he says giving you a tight hug.

"Hyung!" Minho and Key shout at the same time.

"I gotta go. See you in my dreams, and be safe." he says.

"I'll see you. Be safe." you say and the two of you kiss for the last time.
