Ivy's POV:

I don't know why but I don't feel good. My stomach is upset and I'm pretty confident it's not food poisoning or period pain. It's something else. I've had this since I had that dream last night. About two weeks ago, the nightmares have finally stopped. My therapist managed me to throw up all those dark moments. And when I was done, I felt better. Surprisingly, it felt good to be able to talk about it. The more we spoke of it, it all felt more like a memory rather than the present time. Maya was right. It was all in the past. This sure beats waking up in the middle of the night with sweats around my collar or getting scared whenever someone approaches. It gives me an advantage though because of my enactus club, I have to meet and get along with more people. Surprisingly, I've gotten to know half of the school administration. I finally met my Faculty Advisors and they're superb because they're young. We also see a lot of the Principal. He had to give a lot of permission for our project. The school staff knows us because until our new office is finished, we've been using the main office to all admin work. Slowly, I feel like I'm stepping out of my cocoon. It's like I can feel my wings coming out. Suddenly I feel like an alien.

"Muahhh!" someone plastered a big kiss on my cheek.

It's none other than Maya. I'm quite surprised. It's been over two months since she did that. Rumours said she's been seeing many people but those are just rumours. Even if she does, that's her right. But the act of kissing me really caught me by surprise.

"Well, thanks for asking, I've been good," she retorted sarcastically.

We haven't seen each other the past month because Coach Harris has been drilling them for the big competition next week. Plus, we have different classes. I have to admit, it feels good to see her again.

"Sorry, I'm just surprised. Haven't seen you in a while though," I admitted.

"Aw, did someone miss me?" she squealed.

Then, Violet plops to my right. "Hey, long time no see Maya."

Since when did they get along? Hmm, I'd rather not dive into the question. I'm just grateful for things the way they are right now.

"See, even Violet has the courtesy to properly greet me, unlike that someone," she rolled her eyes at me.

Instinctively, I get up from my seat, go to Maya and hug her from behind. I could tell she's surprised at the body contact but relaxes as I say, "I'm sorry. I missed you, honestly!"

When I get back to my seat, Maya has this great blush on her face and she looks at Violet for answer.

"Don't ask me. Since she got into the enactus club, she's been a hugger," Violet shrugged.

"Oh, the club where she's currently a vice president ?" she joked.

I look at Violet and ask her if she told Maya about it but she shakes her head.

"Oh please, everyone knows," Maya said.

"Everyone? How do they know??" I questioned.

I've been trying to keep it a secret. My mission is to keep a low profile, remember? So hearing all these really means my plan failed. Urgh.

"First, it's an exclusive club. Second, we rarely have a newbie holding such a high position anyway," Maya explained.

"That's only because there weren't anyone else. we're the only ones who have been involved in the project. Compared to the newbies, I'm a senior," I told them the reality.

But it is futile. They disregard it.

"Anyways, I heard training's been brutal. How are you holding up?" Violet asked.
