The lady left and gave me all of the info on Scooter. I was a little pushy, I really wanted to play with Scooter.
I took Scooter out on my back porch. I brought his favorite toy (a rubber carrot) and some treats.
I started running around calling for Scooter, waving the carrot in the air. Scooter just sat looking unamused.
I started throwing the carrot around and dropped at his feet. Scooter didn't move a muscle, instead he laid down not paying attention to the toy.
"Scooter?" I asked. He wasn't intrerested in any thing I tried to do. Was he sick?
I ran in an told my mom what was happening. She simply told me this: "Scooter is older now. He is bigger and isn't as playful and he was when he was little. And he has been gone for a year, so he probably doesn't remember this lifestyle."
I gave up on playing, my mom was right, Scooter just isn't used to living here like he used too. He'll remember. Hopefuly.
