Dan's view
Phil starts to walk towards the guard at the front of the line when I stop him. "Hold on I got to grab the VIP tickets." I said. I take off the backpack and dig through the bag. I pull out the envelope holding the VIP passes. "Here." I said handing the pass. I put the pass around my neck as Phil does the same with his pass. "Alright let's go." Phil said as he grabbed my hand again.
"Hey excuse me. Um do you know where we enter? We have VIP tickets." Phil said. The body guard stood there staring at us with his arms crossed. He looked closer at our VIP tickets. He scanned them with a gun thingy and then nodded and put the gun thingy away. "Alright. You'll see a gate at the back and it'll scan your passes and then go down the second door on the left. Don't go down the second door on the right. Trust me." He said as he crossed his arms again.
"Alright thank you." Phil said about to walk away. "Hey why do they get to go!" Some one from the line yelled. "VIP tickets." The guard said. "We've been waiting in line since 8!" They yelled. "Not my problem. You're the one who didnt buy VIP tickets. Plus you could've taken all your time. Like the people at the back of the line. The concert doesn't start till 1." He said. "Come on Phil lets go before things get too chaotic." I said as I grabbed Phil's arm.
We start walking to the back when I get a message from Chris.
Haha whoops forgot my phone at the park can you bring it back for me?
I shake my head smiling. I let go of Phil's arm and start to type back.
Wait then how are you texting me?
Haha wait nevermind
Lol such a idiot.
Phil looks over my shoulder. "Hey Dan lets uh put our phones away. Yeah?" Phil said. "Wait why?" I ask. "Because I know how important this date is to you. Plus its been a while since I've been to a concert." Phil said hesitating. "We're allowed to have our phones at a concert." I said. "Oh we are?" Phil asked. "Yeah just a little rude. And its usually only for photos or videos." I said.
Haha yeah I kinda just wanted to text you. I am incredibly bored. Plus I'm your wingman so I should help you out ya know?
I smile slightly.
Lol I think im fine. I've been able to handle this for this long so I should be fine. Plus I have been friends with Phil for years now. It shouldn't be too awkward.
I look up to see Phil walking around the corner. "Hey Phil wait up!" I said running towards him.
Phil's view
I turn around to see Dan running towards me with his arms flailing. "Hey are you alright?" Dan asked. "Yeah I'm fine." I said. "Are you sure?" Dan asked. "Yeah.." I said.
This was weird. How could I not be fine? This is the best day of my life! I wouldn't just randomly be depressed or cut myself. This is our first date I dont wanna ruin it with my depression. I wonder when the first time Dan felt depressed. Now I'm depressed thinking about it. I wonder if Dan ate chocolate or icecream during his first depression. Ooh now i want chocolate icecream. Maybe we should get that after the concert. Oh wait it'll be like 3 am. What was I talking about?
