Evalina's P.O.V.
Ben grabbed my wrist and we began running toward well I don't exactly know. WE probably looked like crazy teenagers just running down the streets. We made it to a sub shop. "Really, Ben? We just ate." I said giving him a look. He flashed his pearly white teeth at me. "I know." He replied. He ordered very quickly. I don't even know what it was. I just know he got two subs, what was inside them was a mystery to me. Some drinks and a couple other things. As he payed he whispered something to the cashier. The guy at the cashier looked to be about mid forties. I'm assuming he was the owner of the shop. He was taller than Ben by two inches and had dark brown hair.
His eyes sparkled with amusement as Ben talked with him. His eyes were a dark green. He gestured to the woman who was at the sub making station, I guess that's what you'd call it I'm not really sure, the woman walked over and the man put his arm around her waist and gave her a kiss. Awww, they're so cute. I stood by the door awkwardly, Ben said he wanted it to be a surprise and I couldn't take away that joy in his eyes so of course I said I'd wait by the door. I adjusted my glasses that were falling down my nose. I watched as their conversation continued.
Ben gestured over to me and the husband and wife's eyes followed closely behind. The wife had an ombre brown to blonde hair. She was beautiful and had brown eyes as well. She looked to be late forties and she was just an inch shorter than Ben but still taller than me. Ben gestured to something behind the couple to which the smiled brightly. I saw Ben shake his head in a no manner but the couple just smiled brightly and proceeded to continue smiling. Ben ordered a few more things and the wife packed them all in what appeared to be a picnic basket with a cloth behind her. She handed them to Ben with a smile and the couple waved at them.
"Wow, Ben. I knew you loved food but I think this is excessive." I said looking at the picnic basket in his hand. "It's not just for me, smarty pants, it's for us. Of course later but I wanted to make sure I got it before I forgot. Now to our next destination." Ben declared. "Please tell me we're walking." I said with a chuckle. "Of course." He replied. With one hand holding the picnic basket he used the other to grab my hand. I smirked as we continued walking in complete silence. I decided to snatch his hat. When Ben was looking off into the cars rushing by as we stopped for a moment I grabbed his hat and put it on my head.
He turned quickly and gave me a look that made me burst into laughter. "You just had to take my hat." Ben said while giggling. "Yup. I think what you're trying to say is who wore it better." Ben gave me an incredulous. I smiled. "I think I've been watching too much say yes to the dress and listening to Jeff jr. talk about how some of the dresses look better on the others." I said with a laugh. "Yeah I think so too. But I think we've all been somewhat influenced by some people. Thanks to Chaz I've become more addicted to broadway vlogs and videos than I already was." The gears in my head started turning when he said broadway vlogs. Should I ...... tell Ben?
Wait... why do I just want to tell Ben? Wouldn't I want the others to know too? What's wrong with me? My mind was racing. Then my mind flashed to the first time I met Ben. Why am I thinking of him when I'm right her with him. What is my mind trying to tell me? UGH!The frustration caused me to pout. What is my heart trying to tell me. After a few minutes of silence I could tell Ben had noticed my pout because A he took a picture and B he looked like he was trying not to laugh. "Why the glum mug?" He asked. "I- just thoughts. My mind is being confusing." I replied slightly distressed.
I felt Ben squeeze my hand. We halted to a stop and he turned to look me straight in the eyes. "It'll be alright, I'm sure of it. If you wanna talk about it I'm always here." He said. "Thanks, Ben... I'll.... I'll make sure to." I replied. Ben smiled and we continued walking. Talking about mindless things. We passed by many stores and shops observing people as we went by. We began walking when we got to a park. Ben began taking specific twists and turns to get to wherever we were going.
"We're here." Ben said. I looked around and smiled. We were in an area surrounded by trees and a small clearing. "It's beautiful." I breathed out. The sight was indescribable. I heard Ben mumble something but couldn't quite catch it all. All I caught was "more beautiful." I wonder... no don't even think like that! I don't know what's going on with me. I shook away the thoughts and smiled.
3rd Person P.O.V.
Evalina and Ben set up the picnic. They sat down and began talking as they ate. Ben got to know more and more about Evalina. Learning a surprising amount about her. Yet he could feel she was still hiding something. Evalina still felt guilty for being unable to tell him her big secret.
The two of them both enjoyed their time together. While both had many questions for the other. Sadly for the both of them, those questions would remain unanswered. Well... for now that is. "That was an amazing sandwich." Evalina said lying down on blanket. "I know. When I was travelling for Billy Elliot with my mom. It was our favorite place to come to when we were here. I was asking her about a good place to go for lunch and she mentioned the sub place." Ben blushed slightly when he realized what he said.
"Ah, so you did have a plan for today." Evalina said with a silent laugh. "No, yes, maybe." Ben said. They both looked at each other then laughed. "Well I'm glad you did. I'm having fun and I hope you are too." She responded. "Yeah, I am. I have a question." "Shoot." "Will I ever get my hat back." He asked as they began packing up. "Depends, for now it shall remain on my head taming my messy hair." She replied with a giggle.
Ben smiled dreamily. This girl could melt his heart with simply a smile. It was quite adorable though. They were both falling more and more for each other, the only thing was that Evalina still hadn't come to terms with her feelings. "Let's go shopping." Ben said. "Shopping?" Evalina asked confusedly. "Yup shopping." "What for?" "I don't know, anything beyond your wildest dreams." Ben said with a funny voice. "Yeah, yeah. Let's get going, weirdo."
