Leena's POV

Since then, every single day is spent with Lucas. I would play basketball with him every single day and every single day, my feelings for him grew.

Yes, Leena admit she likes him.

No one have to know though, no one, not even him.

" Hey, " I looked up at him as he looked at me, " The girl who is always with you, she's called Soyeon right ? " I nodded.

He nodded, " She asked me out just now. " She said bluntly as he threw the ball into the hoop.

I held in my tears, " You should accept her then, I mean she's pretty. " He looked over at me with a smile as he scratched his head.

" I think so too, but I think she's too pretty for me. " He said as he dribbled the ball as he looked down at the floor.

" I have to agree with that but it doesn't mean you can't get her. The fact that she asked you out means something. " I said and he blushed.

Good job, you just pushed him even further.

He smiled widely, " I think i'm going to accept her request and go on a date with her. " He said as he took out his phone and started messaging her.

I felt,

hurt.

" I'm leaving. " I said and he nodded without looking up from his phone. I guess he's too engrossed with messaging her that he've forgotten me.

I mean, we just met not long ago, I wouldn't be shocked if we are going to be strangers again in a few weeks time.

When I got home, " Basketball again ?! "

" How many times must I tell you that basketball is such a boy-ish sports and you shouldn't play it?! " She screamed in my face.

I felt numb.

You know, I don't have the strength to reply.

" Can't you reply ?! Are you mute ?! " I just stared at her, she ran her finger through her hair as she shook his head is dismay.

" I can't believe I gave birth to you. " She said as she stormed to her room, leaving me alone.

Just then, my phone vibrated and I realised it's a message from Soyeon. I opened it and instantly, I wished I didn't.

" Guys ! I have a great great great news ! "

" I'm dating Lucas ! >///< "

You know how sometimes, you just felt like the whole world just stopped ? I felt like that now. I didn't know how to reply, I don't know how I should feel.

I'm happy for my friend and for Lucas that they've found someone that they fancy but what about myself ?

All human beings are selfish and that includes me. Is it wrong to feel selfish ? I just wish I could be as feminine, girly and pretty like Soyeon.

I walked to my room with a heavy heart as I slammed my body against the bed. My heart felt empty, and it hurts.

I closed my eyes, wanting the pain to go away. gradually, I fell asleep and woke up the next day, feeling like poop.

As usual, I got to school by myself.

" Did you hear ? Lucas and Soyeon is dating ! "

Oh.

" They are so cute together! "

Mhm.

I got to my classroom and saw Lucas inside, with Soyeon beside him. I walked past him but he didn't look, I want to smack him with the ball.

I felt a knock on my desk and I looked up to see some guy from my class that I don't interact with.

" Is the seat here taken ? " He asked with a smile and I looked over at the seat beside mine.

I looked at him, " My bag said it's taken. " I said as I continue lying on the desk, with my arm covering my face from the ugly world.

My face is too precious for this ugly world to see.

He chuckled as he placed my bag on the floor, " My name is Jungwoo. " He said with a smile.

" Oh. " I replied.

" Ouch. It hurts. " He placed his hand on his heart as he pretends he's hurt.

I chuckled, " Dude, take my advice and don't ever try out acting. " His eyes widened before bursting into laughter.

I stared at him with an emotionless face, " You're really weird. " I said and he placed his head on the desk, facing me.

" I'd prefer if you'd call me unique. " I smiled slightly.

" I have the authority to call you whatever name I want since it's coming out of my mouth not yours. " He seemed shocked but he smiled.

He patted my head, " You're a really special girl, do you know that ? " I stared at him, shocked for a few seconds before clearing my throat.

" Of course I know that. " I flipped my hair and he chuckled.

Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder. " Do you know how to do this question ? My boyfriend and I can't solve it. " Soyeon asked.

I looked over at Lucas and we made a brief eye contact, his straight face turned into a smile but before he can even say anything, I turned away.

I looked at the question and then at Soyeon, " Miss Genius, if you can't solve it, how can I ? " She pouted at she patted my head.

" Having fun with your man ? " She eyed Jungwoo, I shot her a confusion face while she chuckled.

" Bless you with Yukhei. " I said and she blushed slightly, nodding her head before walking back to Lucas, leaving me and Jungwoo alone again.

I sighed, " Isn't that- "

" Yes, she's Soyeon. The prettiest in the school, richest and probably the smartest too. I do have her number but nope, I ain't giving it. " I said emotionlessly.

He laughed, " I wasn't going to ask for her number. Instead, I was going to ask for your's. " I looked at him, dumbfounded.

" You're crazy. " I said.

" Crazy for you. " He winked.

I moved away from him, " Nah I was kidding. It's fine if you're not comfortable to give your number to me. " He said and let me just say, his talent is making people feel bad.

I sighed and gave him my number, " Do not call me after 10 because i'm going to slap you. I need my beauty sleep. "

He saluted me, " Yes ma'am! " I looked over at him and burst into laughter.

Maybe, he's unique ?
