Leena's POV

My dad killed his dad.

That, I can't process.

Access denied.

I heard the door knocking as I sat on my bed, I was in shock, I didn't know how I should react or even how I should feel about it.

" Leena ? " I didn't react, not even a single bit. My mom sat on the bed, beside me as she gave me a tight hug.

She sighed, " Do you know why all these time I was being so stern and strict to you ? " I shook my head slightly and she looked over at me.

" I didn't want you to end up like me or your father. I used to be just like you, I disobeyed my mother and got a boyfriend who's your father. I've made many wrong decisions in life, and I didn't want you to do the same. " She said.

I looked over at her, " But mom, we all have our own story to tell and I think I have the rights to be the pirate of my own ship. "

" But it's fine, not as if he would bother wanting me back as his girlfriend or something. " I said as I held in my tears.

My mom caress my hair gently, " The reason why I didn't want you to date him so badly was because I know that was the man's child. "

" Can you tell me what happened ? " I asked and I shot her a puppy look which she can't resist.

" So what happened was 10 years back, your dad shot the man because he decides to take drugs and spend his youth on gang. " She said.

She took a deep breath, " I was there when that incident took place, when the blood splashed everywhere, it was a horrifying scene. "

Tears formed in her eyes, " What I couldn't forget was the look of that boy's face when he arrived to bid goodbye to his father. The brave officer who many look up to. "

" He was shocked, in deep terror. He wanted to cry but no tears seemed to come out, not even a single drip. His mother had to get him away from the funeral to calm him down. " I looked over at her.

" And that boy is Yukhei ? " She nodded sadly.

She sighed, " I know it was unfair and selfish of me to do this but I thought maybe separating you guys would prevent the secret from exposing but little did I not know, it unfolds itself. "

" Yukhei was indeed a really nice boy, he helped out at the funeral and would comfort his mother who bawled her eyes out. " She smiled.

" Why didn't you tell me such an important information ? " I asked.

" I didn't know you will meet Yukhei, moreover. I thought that maybe you not knowing the truth would be more beneficial to you. " I sighed.

She patted my back, " Are you ready to go back to school tomorrow ? " I nodded with a fake smile attached on my face.

She left the room, allowing me to have a good night sleep before my day starts again tomorrow.

" You hurt so many families, are you happy now ? Now that your family is hurt too, I'm happy. "

" Please don't hurt my family. They are innocent, i'm the one that's at fault. Punish me, not them. "

" If you say so. "

I woke up with beads of sweat found on the side on my face. I looked over at the clock and it's almost 4am now.

I took a long, warm bath as I changed into my uniform again. I went down to make breakfast for my mother and I since I felt like it.

" Leena ? You're up early today. " She said with a warm smile on her face and I smiled slightly.

I nodded, " And I made breakfast for us today. " She smiled as she gave me a big, warm hug. It's been a long time ive last experienced mother love.

We ate and had a lot of fun talking about the memories of the past, of course. the happy ones.

I took my bag and entered the car since my mom wants to send me to school today.

When I got to school, she looked at me with a worried look on her face, " Are you sure you will be fine ? " I nodded.

When I got to school, I was trashed with eggs. To be more exact, it's rotten eggs that has expired for quite a while due to the strong smell.

People started throwing curse words at me and I heard one sentence which made my blood boil.

" Your dad's death day is the happiest day of my life. "

I looked up in anger as I tried spotting whoever said that. You can mess with me but never and I mean, never mess with my family.

" Who said my dad's death day is their happiest day ?! " I screamed and no one dared to continue saying another word.

I was about to storm away when someone said, " I'm the one that said it. " I turned around to face Lucas as he looked at me with an indescribable expression.

I held in my anger, " Don't you think that's what your dad deserve if he killed mine ? "

" Wong Yukhei! You B- " I was about to continue when the principal came out to stop the fight as I was dragged in with sticky eggs all over me.

They gave me a fresh set of uniform to change into and of course, to shower because I stink so much.

When I entered the principal's office, I looked over at Lucas while he looked down at his hands. I sat down on the seat beside him as the principal spoke to us in a stern tone.

" What did you guys do outside ? Did you guys know that your behaving like a group of gangsters ? " He said as we stayed quiet.

" This isn't going to work, i'm going to call your parents down today. " He said as he picked up the phone and called both our mothers.

When we were send back to class, I heard a familiar voice from nearby.

" Mh hou yi si. "
