Leena's POV

Ever since that day when I burst out into flames in front of Lucas, we kinda stopped talking for good. He blocked me on social media because he's petty.

Jokes he didn't.

When we see each other in school, it's just awkward silence. I would secretly steal glances of him but he on the other hand, seemed to be gaining popularity for his good looks.

Girls are starting to swoon over him and I can't deny that I'm feeling so salty about it even though I was the one that hurt him.

" Oh you're back. " My mom said and I nodded as I walked past her. She looked at me with a stern stare as she crossed her arms.

" I might want to send you overseas for further studies. " My eyes widened and I shook my head. I didn't want to travel overseas myself, moreover study there.

" What's wrong with studying in Korea ? " I asked and she shook her head.

She looked at me, " Nothing's wrong with the study standard here in Korea, but there's only something wrong with your brain. "

Tears started forming in my eyes as I couldn't take it. I ran out of my house as I sat in front of the convenient store.

Passerby looked over at me as if i'm some animal that just escaped the zoo.

" Are you okay ? " I looked up to see a really well-dressed woman and I nodded slowly but eventually I shook my head.

She sat beside me and smiled, " You're really pretty, no pretty girl like you should cry. " She said and I smiled slightly.

" If you don't mind sharing, maybe you can tell me why are you crying ? " I started to share what exactly happened to her, I felt a connection.

She wrapped her arms around me, " You poor girl, but i'm sure your mom is just trying to help you find a better future for you. "

" But she doesn't want me to play basketball and even forced me to break up with my boyfriend ! " I said and her eyes widened but it softened.

She smiled slightly, " You reminds me of someone. I banned him from playing basketball at the start too but he refused to listen to me. I thought maybe the best way is to bring him over to Korea, and that's what I did. "

" He met a really nice girl and he became really cheerful and his smile is something i've never seen back at home. " She said with a bright smile talking about that someone.

" What is he like ? " I asked.

She smiled as she looked over at me, " He is really friendly and nice, in general he's like that to everyone so people often called him playboy but he's actually just being friendly. "

Reminds me of someone, somehow.

She looked over at her phone, " I need to take my leave now. It was nice meeting you. " I smiled as she gradually walked further and further from me.

I wiped my tears and walked home, but it means having to walk past the basketball court.

As I was walking nearer and nearer to the basketball court, I heard the sound of the basketball hitting against the floor.

I felt my heart rate increasing as I thought of Lucas playing basketball. When I finally got to the basketball court, my heart seemed to just shattered.

I saw Lucas teaching a really attractive girl how to play basketball with a wide smile on his face. He didn't even noticed my existence which i'm fine with because I look like a mess now.

" Stop it! " She squealed as he lifted her up with a bright smile on both of their faces.

Suddenly I made eye contact with that girl and she just kept staring at me as I started to walk away.

That's when I felt someone holding onto my wrist, preventing me from walking further. I turned around to meet Lucas's eyes.

My heart started racing even harder as I looked at him, even if we've broken up, I still can't deny that he's the only tenant in my heart.

Cringe but yeah.

He pulled me into a hug, " Why did you do this to me ? Did you know how much i've suffered these past few weeks ? It felt like years without you accompanying me. "

" Yukhei ? I'll leave now and leave you guys there being lovey dovey to each other. " She winked as she walked away.

" She's pretty. " I said and a grin appeared on his face.

" Obviously she is, since she has my DNA. " He said and my eyes widened, so that's not his girlfriend or something.

I looked over at him, " She's your child ? " He choked as he shook his head while dying of laughter.

" That's my mom's other child, aka my sister. " I nodded as I blushed in embarrassment. I mean, it's obvious that's not his child.

He wrapped his arms around me, " I missed you so god damn much. Can't you just come back to me and to this basketball court where we started ? "

I turned to looked at him, " Look, I- "

" Yukhei! " I heard a voice and I turned to face the same well-dressed lady from before. My eyes widened as a wide grin appeared on her face.

" You're that girl! " She squealed and Lucas looked over at me, in confusion.

She pulled me into a hug, " I hope you're feeling better and I see, you've met my son, Yukhei. " My eyes widened.

I point at Lucas, " This is your son ?! " She nodded as she placed her arm around Lucas with a bright smile as he shot me a save me look.

" Doesn't he have my beautiful look ? " She asked as she touched her face and I burst into laughter.

" but this man right here, doesn't want to give up basketball no matter how much I forced him. So honey, you can do the same for your boyfriend. " She said and Lucas looked over at me with a smirk.

" Yeah, do the same for your boyfriend. " Emphasising on the word boyfriend.

She smirked, " Are you guys dating ? "

The both of us shook our head and Lucas then proceeded with what nonsensical Lucas have in his little dictionary.

" We're married. "

Just.

i want to stop having feelings for a dude but somehow it doesn't stop which honestly sucks. Seeing him in school made me so stressed out because I can't do anything when I see him.

I can't even talk to him which is the basic of the basic. I felt so inferior whenever i'm in school because of how i'm not as pretty or as sporty or as friendly as other girls and it honestly sucks so much.
