The fireball

Chapter 7

The four of us manage to fit in Robin's car , Robin kindly agreed to give us a ride to the mall

"Finally a girl to shop with me instead of you" Emma points at Adam

I laugh "Is he that boring?"

"He's extremely boring" she sighs dramatically

"Heeeeey I'm not boring , she just stays for like five hours and stops at every single store" Adam whines

Emma smirks "But I've always given you a choice Adam , youre the one who always chooses to come with me"

Adam rolls his eyes "Yeah yeah , either I come with you or you'll drench me with ice cold water"

Emma slaps his arm "Shut up you weren't supposed to say that"
"Gyus stop bickering" I laugh

Adam crosses his arms childeshly "She started it"

I shake my head at their childish behaviour , I stare out of the window trying to drown Emma's loud voice , the idea of Adam joining us made me happy , I couldn't deny that I am attracted to him , despite the fact that I've olny known him for a few days

" We're here " Robin says

we thank Robin and walk inside the mall

"Hey mystery guy , why so silent" Emma teases Edmund

He shakes his head "Just tired"

we walk to a cafè and leave Adam and Edmund there , then we start our shopping spree
Emma insisted on buying me a dress as a birthday gift , we argued at first , but I gave up after a while . The dress was a beautiful maxi red dress with lace sleeves , I kept thanking Emma every few minutes

three hours later we return to the cafè where Edmund and Adam were waiting , I throw myself at the chair next to Adam

" You were right Adam this girl is insane " I sigh

" Told you she has the shopping bug " he chuckles

Half an hour later Robin had brought us back to the institute
Emma went to her room and left me with Adam in the hallway

" Can I return to my room , please ? " I ask

He shakes his head " sorry , Edmund said that you're safer with me plus I'm not that bad of a personam I ?  "

I sigh " I just hate feeling like a burden "

He frowns " If it makes you feel better , I like your company actually "

I blush and walk to the room with him , he opens the door and I find my bag on the bed

" You can change in the bathroom " he points to the door

I nod " Thank you Adam" I take my pajamas and go to the bathroom , when I come out Adam is sitting on his bed with my music player , he has his eyes closed as he listens to my favourite song , it feels like he was somewhere else , in his own world , I slowly make my way towards him

" you like this song ? " I ask

He gives me an adorable smile "I've never heard it before , but it's amazing ... I heard your records , you play the piano "

" Yeah it takes me to another world , my little world " I smile

" Well , Since I went to your world ... allow me to take you to mine " he rummages in his drawer and returns with a sketch , he gives it to me and sits close to me

There are lots of paintings , they discribe him somehow , then there is one that caught my attention it is a waterfall with flames surrounding it

" you inspired me with this one " he smiles

" You're drawings are amazing , you should consider opening a gallery " I turn the page and see myself with wings and a crown  ... Adam drew me !

He takes a deep breath " I figured that since you inspired me with a drawing , it'd be fair to draw you"

" It's pretty though , doesn't look like me "

Adam puts his finger under my chin forcing me to look at him

" Maybe you're so used to your features that you don't know how beautiful you look to a stranger "

I feel the heat rushing to my face
" Stop you're making me blush " I look at my feet

He chuckles " Let me see "

I slowly look at him , he smiles and slowly kisses my cheek , I blush more if this is possible
I clear my throat " we better sleep " I pull  the covers to my head , so that I don't see his face

" Goodnight Elda " he whispers and I could feel him smirking

" Goodnight " I whisper

I wake up to the sound of my alarm , I open my eyes and groan at the amount of sunlight that was in the room
Adam is standing at the doorstep smirking

" Get up lazy potato " he chuckles
" I want to sleep for a year ..... no a century " I whine

Adam laughs " C'mon get up "

I shake my head and cover my face with the duvet , I hear shuffling maybe Adam lost hope and left , but suddenly I am in Adam's arms

I shriek " Put me down "

" Not until you're totally awake " He laughs

" Lose hope I'll never be totally awake " I say dramatically

" Maybe I'll put you down if you say please " He smirks

I sigh " Please "

" But I'm happy that way " he teases me

" Oh God , Put. me . down. " I say
Adam laughs and finally places me gently on the ground "Get ready , I'll wait for you in the dining hall "

I nod and walk to the bathroom , I take a quick shower and get dressed and walk to the dining hall , Adam and Emma are  sitting with some people that I don't recognise , I walk towards them and sit between Adam and Emma

" Finally , I thought you slept again "

I laugh " I considered it "

" That's jess " Emma says pointing at the brown haired girl
" And that's Albert " she points at the blonde boy sitting next to jess

" I'm Elda , nice to meet you " I smile at them

I am about to start eating , when Albert winks at me , Adam gives him a death glare , I act as if I saw nothing , I notice that Adam clenched his jaw and his hold on the glass tightened , my eyes widen when Albert places his hand on my thigh under the table , I push his hand away , as a strong wind blows in the cafeteria

Emma frowns " Are you okay Adam? "

He doesn't answer he just storms out of the cafeteria , I execuse myself and go after him , he is walking so fast that I couldn't keep up so I start runing till I reache him

" Adam " he stops walking and turnes to face me , but he is looking at the ground , his fists clench next to him , I reache for his hand

" What's wrong , look at me " I frown

" Everything'a okay, you don't have to worry "

" Tell me the truth , please "

" I have to go "
