I look around the vacant dark room that I'm in , trying to see the person whose voice has been taunting me for days , but I fail again , I can't see him anywhere .
His loud devious laughter echoes in the room as if he's laughing at my attempt to see him .
" What do you want from me ? " I yell
I hear his footsteps getting closer , but I still can't see him
" I'm going to kill you .... slowly and painfully , till you beg me to end it all . " I shiver at his words and squeeze my eyes shut
" Who are you ? " I shake my head trying to snap out of this.
A moment of pregnant silence follows my question and I'm about to sigh in relief thinking that he's finally gone , but the breaths that tickle my neck tell me otherwise
" Your worst nightmare " I can literally feel him smirking
" Just leave me alone " I turn around moving my arms wildly in an attempt to even touch that person , to prevent myself from losing my mind .
But again I'm met with the same cruel laugh , mocking me and my actions , but this time the laughter echoes all over the place and it doubles and doubles till I fall on my knees and cover my ears .
" Stop " I try to yell , but my voice is barely a whisper.

"Elda "
" Please wake up "
" C'mon Adam , there's no hope "
" Leave him alone Ed "
I hear the familiar voices of my friends and I instantly feel safer .
I feel something warm against my hand , something soft .
I open my eyes and look around me , Edmund is staring at the wall with his hands in his pockets looking defeated , while Emma hugs him as silent tears fall from her eyes . Adam's head is resting at the edge of the bed as he holds my hand .
" How come your hands are always so warm ! " my voice comes out low and hoarse
Adam's head shoots in my direction while Emma and Edmund hug eachother with relief written all over their faces
" You're alive , you're awake , thank God " Adam keeps repeating these words as if to convince himself that I'm actually awake
I'm about to speak again , but I'm caught in a fit of coughing , Emma quickly brings me a glass of water which I accept , instantly downing its contents
" You scared us all " Emma says rubbing my shoulder gently
" We were giving up on you actually " Edmund says bluntly making me laugh as Emma glares at him .
" I'm sorry , I guess " I say as I sit in the bed with Adam's help
" Wait ,.... so you were in a coma ... for fivr days , and the first thing you say when you open your eyes is why Adam's hands are warm all the time ? " Emma scoffs
" Well , I didn't know what to say " I laugh
Edmund sighs " Emma , let's give her some time to relax "
Emma nods and they both walk out of the room .
Immediately Adam pulls me in an embrace " For a moment .... I thought I lost you " he says , his voice quivering slightly
" The last thing you said , was that you needed me , and I couldn't leave you alone , because as much as I'd like to deny it .... I need you too " I admit shrugging my shoulders
" Don't leave me agin , please " he says
" I'll do my best " I purse my lips pullinf away from his hug , instantly missing it
" You ok ? " Adam asks
" Yeah I'm good , jut wanted to know .. what happened that night ? "
He clears his throat " Well ... you already know that the hunters are after you and we also figured out that Albert is one of them , and they wanted to weaken you , to deprive you of your powers . "
he takes a deep breath
" Albert cast a speel over you depriving you of one of your powers , but Edmund says that you'll eventually get it back "
" I still have my fire though , so I can still fight " I say
" yeah , but hopefully that won't be any time soon " he frowns
" What's on your mind ? "
" That day .... Albert had the chance to kill you , but he didn't and that's making me even more worried " he shakes his head
" Maybe .... maybe they don't want me dead ? "
" We'll figure it out " He stands up " If you're feeling good , get dressed , you and Emma were supposed to buy your dresses for the party tomorrow "
My eyes widen " What's the day today ? "
" Wednesday " Adam smirks
I facepalm as I quickly head to the bathroom and take a quick shower , I open the closet and grab the first item that I see , which happens to be one of Adam's shirts and a pair of sweatpants , I put them on and walk out
Adam , Edmund and Emma are all standing next to Robin's car waiting for me
I smile as Adam opens the car door for me " Thanks "
" You're welcome " He winks playfully and climbs in next to me
" My t-shirt looks good on you " he whispers
I shake my head " Shut up , I look like some kind of drug dealer "
" We're here love birds " Emma interrupts our conversation
Adam shakes his head and gets out of the car , we all walk inside the mall
" We'll go buy our suits and you go buy your dresses then we'll meet here again " Edmund says and we split up
" Let's go inside all of these shops" Emma claps her hands with and eager look in her eyes
" Em , we'll not go to every single shop okay ? " I try not to laugh at the disappointed look on her face
" Whatever , let's go " she runs off while I quickly jog to catch up with her , I shake my head as I look at Adam one last time .
