The room where we are sitting is silent , Emma is staring at nothing in particular while Adam is literally sleeping with his eyes wide open .
We took Angel to the park where she played for four hours stright , Emma kept arguing with her all the time , Adam's face was pricelss the whole time as he tried to convince Emma that Angel is just a kid , but in vain , he kept yawning and mumbling incoherent words , till Angel's father came to the rescue and took her home .
The three of us are currently sitting on the big couch in Emma's room in total silence , till Edmund comes in and disturbes the silence
" Hey guys " Ed says cheerfully
" If you say another word I'm going to kill you , and this isn't a threat " Adam says with his eyes half closed and half opened
I laugh lightly so as not to disturb him even more , he is acting like a hungover person , Edmund raises his hands in mock surrender
" Dude I get it , you were babysitting all day , but I was just greeting " he laughs
" Don't laugh Ed , it was awful " Emma pouts
" Is little Emma tired ? " Ed ruffles her hair teasingly
I look at Adam with raised eyebrows
" Don't ask they've been acting like this for a while " he shrugs
I sigh " I'm exhausted , and you're a jerk Ed , so I'm leaving "
Adam laughs and stands up " I'm coming with you , I can't stand these two "
Emma rolls her eyes as we make our to Adam's room
" Are you really tired or did you just want to leave them alone ? "
" Yeah I just figured that we should give them some time to themselves , maybe he'll finally make a move or admit his feelings to her " I shrug
He nods " Yeah they've been acting strange lately "
I sigh heavily once we reach the room and Adam yawns for the billionth time
" I think you should sleep , you look worn out "
He shakes his head slowly " I probably should , but I prefer sitting with you over sleeping "
" We can sit together tomorrow , I'm not going anywhere " I laugh lightly
He nods probably too tired to argue
" Sleep on the bed today , I want to sleep on the couch " I suggest
He frowns " Why ? your muscles are going to be sore tomorrow "
" No I'll be okay , I just want to gaze at the stars before I sleep , plus I have a small body so the couch won't be that bad " I say as I plop on the couch
He sighs as he lays down on the bed " Whatever you say , goodnight Elda "
" Night Adam " I say
Adam has been sleeping for about fifteen minutes now and I have been staring at the snow as it slowly falls from the sky making its way to the ground , I sigh when I get an urge to touch the snowflakes , but knowing that its fatal to me I resist and settle on watching it from afar , despite having water powers combined with my fire , ice (snow) is still my only weakness
I don't really know if it's a part from the curse or if ice is the fireball's weakness in general
" You're still awake!? " Adam's voice interrupts my thoughts
" Yeah , I was about to though " I say my voice barely audible
