The Forever Bond

A Day Alone

     While Sam was walking Miracle I played with his yarn collection. He was gone for half an hour. When they came home I greeted Sam with a kiss and Miracle greeted me by jumping on my tail.
"Miracle, I know you like my tail but did you have to do that now," I said.
     Miracle cocked her head and jumped at my tail when I moved it. Sam scratched the back of my ear and I kissed him again. He knows all of my sweet spots and everywhere to avoid touching without permission.
"Aurora, let Miracle play with your tail. I want to give her a bath and she never let's me unless you are here," Sam said.
"OK, at least I can help," I said.
     I lead Miracle into the bathtub and Sam ran the water. Miracle was successfully bathed even if I got soaked. I helped Sam finish up his chores.
     After he finished up I was in a catnap. He covered me up and went into his room. I woke up and didn't see Sam. I went into his room and saw him sleeping on his bed. So I went up and laid next to him.
"Sam, wake up," I said shaking him lightly.
"Huh, what time is it?" Sam asked.
"It's almost noon," I said.
"OK, thanks," he said.
     Sam opened his eyes and looked at me. He smiled and kissed me on the forehead. We got up and went into the kitchen.
"Aurora, do you want to go out with me?" Sam asked.
"Yes, I do," I said happily.
"OK, well just know I only love you," Sam said making me blush.
"You like doing that don't you," I said.
"Yep. I like making you blush because it shows how much you love me," Sam said.
"Do you really need to be reminded that I love you?" I asked.
"No, but I still like it," he replied.
     Sam started to make lunch for us while I got the ingredients. Once he finished cooking we ate and made a plan of what we were going to do today. After eating I washed the dishes while Sam dried and put them away.
     We started our day by going to the movies. We watched Midnight Sun. After the movies we went to the park. We walked around the park for 2 hours. We had 2 more hours before we went to get dinner. We sat by the pond and learned things we never would've known otherwise.
     Sam learned that I don't have nails but claws, that is why I always wear gloves. He also learned that my disorder can be developed if bitten by certain breeds of an animal or born with it like me. He even found out that if I fall off something I always land on my feet.
     I learned that Sam always has a knife with him. Sam also has something that allows him to access databases in his eyes, he was born that way. He knew who I was before I introduced myself. He did this through his unique ability. He never figured out what my disorder was because it wasn't on any database. I was the first to be born with it.
"How many people know that you were the first?" Sam asked.
"Me, you, mom, dad, my doctor, and the staff that helped bring me into this world," I said.
"That's not alot," Sam said.
"I know and please don't tell anyone," I said.
"OK, I won't," Sam said.
     We spent the rest of the 2 hours goofing around. After we finished goofing off we went to Tom and Mika's Pizzeria. We got 2 different pizzas, a custom made one for means a regular cheese for Sam.
     On the way to Sam's house we were goofing off and someone fell. I ran to help him up. After he got up and looked at me he took off scared.
"What's wrong with him?" I asked.
"I don't know but I have a bad feeling about this," Sam said.
"OK, let's go," I said.
     We hurried through the street. I got a feeling that we were being followed but I ignored it. Once we reached the end of the street I looked behind us and saw someone smiling and holding a blue handled, black bladed, and red dragon design combat knife.
"Sam," I said quietly.
"Yeah," Sam replied.
"Turn around," I told him with growing fear.
     Sam turned around and saw the person. Sam put his hands in his pockets slowly. The person ran towards us psychotically. When the person got close Sam pulled out his switchblade and flicked the blade out.
     The psycho almost stabbed me when my tail grabbed the psycho's wrist stopping the blade when it touched my stomach. Sam stabbed the psycho's forearm causing him to drop the knife. My tail let go of him and he took off. Sam picked up the knife and put it in a belt loop. He also put his knife away and we went towards his house.
"Are you OK?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, my tail did something that has never happened before though," I said.
"What do you mean by that?" Sam asked.
"I mean my tail has never grabbed anything before," I said.
"Have you ever been in mortal danger?" Sam asked.
"3 times now," I said.
"What was the third?" Sam asked.
"A doctor tried to kill me as a baby because I was supposedly an abomination," I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry about that," Sam said.
     Once we got to Sam's house he put the knife in his collection. He came back and Miracle jumped on my tail. Sam scratched my ears and then kisses me on the lips. I kissed back.
"How was our date?" Sam asked.
"Amazing, what about you?" I asked.
"Amazing," Sam repeated.
     We just played with Miracle until Sam's parents came home. Sam told them that we were dating and they encouraged it. Rowan found out and immediately tried to attack me. Before he could hit me my tail wrapped around his waist and flipped him onto a coffee table. The table broke when he landed on it from his weight and fall velocity.
"Oww," Rowan said standing up.
"You deserved it," I said.
"How did you even see me coming?" I was behind you," Rowan said.
"I sensed you," I said.
"whatever, you're going to pay for it," Rowan said.
"Rowan, leave the poor girl alone," Sam's mom commanded.
"Fine," Rowan said angrily.
     Rowan left and I went into Sam's room after him. We talked for a little bit and before going to bed. Sam laid in his bed and I laid on his chest again, then Sam covered us both up.
