Sam entered the room after I got him. Delia told him her backstory and he understood. It surprised him that she was a dragon but he understood her.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Sam asked.
"Because I didn't want to start a panic or warn Zerine of my presence," Delia said.
"OK, can't argue with either, both are good reasons," Sam said.
"Do you know where I can stay for the time being" Delia asked.
"You can stay here," Sam said.
"Are you sure?" Delia asked.
"Yeah, my family welcomes my friends," Sam said.
"Almost all of them," Rowan said in the doorway.
"How did you open my door?" Sam asked.
"I picked the lock," he said.
"Leave Rowan," I said pulling my claws back out.
"Fight me," he replied.
"I beat you once and I'll do it again," I said.
"I'll fight him and win in 1 punch," Delia said.
"Do it then," Rowan said daringly.
"OK," Delia said.
Delia walked up to Rowan. Their eyes locked and Delia punched his chest. Rowan hit the wall hard and passed out.
"Shut the door please," Sam said to Delia.
She shut the door and walked to us. We all got to know each other more before something strange appeared in Sam's room. It was a circle with symbols then another circle with a shape inside it.
"Don't touch it," Delia said.
"Why?" I asked.
"It's a rune," she replied.
"What type of rune?" I asked.
"Don't know," she said.
"How do we find out?" Sam asked.
"Throw something at it," Delia said.
"Like what?" Sam asked.
"Anything," Delia said.
Sam grabbed his pillow and threw it at the rune. The rune got brighter when the pillow crossed into the first circle. After the light faded the pillow had knives jammed into it.
"OK, so the rune's duration depends on the caster AMD the strongest caster can hold a rune do 1 day before it fades," Delia said.
"So, just wait a day?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," Delia said.
"OK," Sam said.
"About Zerine," I started.
"Yeah," Delia said.
"How did she hide here?" I asked.
"Oh, she's a conjuring wizard so she can conjure herself a country house," Delia said.
"There are 4 country houses," Sam said.
"I knew that but getting to them undetected Inst as easy as it seems," Delia said.
"It is for me and Sam," I said.
"True, she can sneak easily while I can predict and estimate easily," Sam said.
"Can you 2 look for her?" Delia asked pleadingly.
"What's her description?" Sam asked.
"She is tall with indigo hair and purple eyes. She always wears a dark robe," Delia said.
"OK, Aurora come on," Sam said.
"I'll go out the window and fly above," Delia said.
"OK," Sam said.
We checked every house with no luck but on the fourth house I got a bad feeling. I snuck to the back and got positioned. Delia was behind me in human form mimicking my movements. Sam got in position and mimicked a residential bird's call. We moved in on the house and right after Delia whispered something about a hostage and a friend we busted in and I immediately ran to the hostage.
"Well, you found me," Zerine said devilishly.
"Where is he?" Delia asked.
"Who?" Zerine asked.
"My best friend," Delia said angrily.
"Oh,  you mean Dramercrone," Zerine said.
"Yes now where is he," Delia growled.
"The basement," Zerine said.
When I got to the basement I saw 2 cells with rune's on them. I went upstairs to tell Delia. When I got up the stairs Sam and Delia were fighting a losing battle.
I got into an offensive position and joined the battle. Zerine was defeated in 10 minutes because she couldn't cast her spells in time with our attacks. Right before Delia killed her I told her about the runes.
"Lower the runes," Delia commanded Zerine.
"Which ones?" Zerine asked.
"The ones in the basement," Delia said.
"You want me to release my prisoners?" Zerine asked.
"Only Dramercrone," Delia said.
"Fine," Zerine said.
Zerine's eyes started to glow and she said a short incantation. After she finished the incantation the door to her basement opened. Delia was running to Dramercrone. When they came up I saw Delia with another small child.
