Vanth's past

(Astro's point of view)

We were seeing into the memories of Vanth and Shara. We were first taken to a small village.

(Vanth's point of view)

We lived in a village where know one had a lot of money. We helped each other out and we usually spent plenty of time together so it worked out for all of us.

I barely remember now but I remember always being really happy all of a sudden when my parents came into the house.

I don't even remember what they looked like. I guess that's the cost of being immortal though. Anyways, I remember one day in specific that I'll never forget.

"Sis, aren't mom and dad supposed to be here by now?" I asked.

"Don't worry. I'm sure they are fine. Maybe they just dropped by a friend's house or something. Come on, why don't we hang at Alley's place" she said.

We stepped out but when we did we saw four figures outside. I recognized Leo, Obsidian, Obsidious and Katie there. After all they were the four most powerful wizards and vampire alive.

"What are they doing here?" I asked fear written all over my face.

"We order everyone to evacuate their homes at once" Katie spoke.

"No! Stay inside!" My sister yelled.

Then before I knew it Katie was behind my sister.

"I would be quiet for your brother's sake. After all, it's not like there's rules to tell us what we can and can't do" Katie said.

"Leave my brother out of this" my sister said.

"We'll have a deal if you call everyone outside" Katie said.

"Everyone it's okay to come outside" my sister said then as a tear fell down her face.

As soon as everyone was outside Katie took the people and disappeared with them one by one along with the others with Katie.

Eventually she got to me and my sister and everyone had been put into a wagon. "What's going on? I'm scared" I said.

"Sh....it'll be okay, my brother" My sister said. She then started to sing me a song to put me to sleep.

(Sussana's point of view)

When my brother had fallen asleep I prayed to god asking for someway this situation could get much better for all of us. The others one by one started praying as one. After I was finished though I held my brother that was beside me and I started to cry. I didn't really know if things were really going to be okay and I was sad for my brother. I had to believe he could make it though. I had heard news recently though that these guys were collecting people and using us all as slaves. I guess we were the new slaves.

As I sat there I started thinking about a plan that I could make happen as soon as they let me out of here. There has to be a way to save everyone here from this situation.

We arrived a couple of hours later and it was just as I suspected we were indeed going to be slaves. When I walked to a certain point where everyone was leading us someone woke my brother up and then said "I'm sorry but you two must part ways now"

"No! I refuse to part ways with my brother. Please, it's all he has right now" I protested.

"I said you must part ways" the person repeated.

"Screw you and your rules I'm not going anywhere!" She said as fire magic surrounded her and she used it on the person telling her we had to part ways.

(Vanth's point of view)

I saw a quick flash of fire and then all of a sudden I saw my sister's body fall to the ground.

"We don't need trouble makers here" Katie spoke.

"Sissy. Come on you gotta wake up. Please, Susan" I said.

Then I realized that she wasn't alive anymore so I turned to Katie and said "You monster how could you! She was only looking out for me! It's not fair! She did nothing to you!" I said.

"She didn't understand what an honor it is to build such a building. This will be the new building for the evil organization and once you get through building it you could have your own home here" the person spoke then she pushed me to be with the other kids.

I didn't resist though because I felt as though I had no choice. After all my sister knew how to use magic but she clearly couldn't really right back.

They put me in a room with a few other kids and looked the cell to the room.

They also brought good but it only looked like a meal for There a people when their was 7 people inside.

Everyone except me went to the food and started eating. They'd been nice enough to leave me just a little bit but I wasn't hungry. After a few minutes of me not eating a girl walked up to me. She has shoulder lengthy blonde hair and blue eyes. She said "Hey. I'm Janice, what's your name?"

"Vanth" I answered.

"That's a really unique name. I like it. So aren't you going to eat?" Janice asked.

"I'm not hungry" I said looking off into the distance.

"Well I would suggest eating now rather your hungry or not. We don't always get feed every day. And even at that it's not a whole lot for everyone. I've only been here for a couple of weeks but I know my way around " Janice said.

I grabbed the food then and started eating. "Does this make you happy?" I asked.

"Very" Janice smiled.

When she did I couldn't help but smile back though.

"You look a little upset though. What's wrong?" Janice asked.

"Nothing" I said looking off into the distance again.

"You can tell me" Janice said.

"We all have a horrible past alright! Maybe he doesn't want to talk about it!" A guy said.

"Short fuse" Janice called the guy.

"At least I don't trust everyone. The only thing that's going to do is get your heart broken princess" the guy said.

"Why you!" Janice said and they started fighting then.

I zoomed them out and tried not to think too much.

Soon it was nighttime and almost everyone went to sleep except me and Janice.

Janice yawned all of a sudden so I knew she was getting sleepy.

"You should get some sleep" I said.

"What about you? You should get some sleep too. After all they do come to get us to start working on the building early in the morning " Janice said.

"Don't worry about me. I'll be okay. Just go to sleep" I said.

"If you insist" Janice said. She then slept on the floor beside me. When she fell asleep is when I allowed a storm of tears to come down from my sister ealier. I just couldn't do it with Janice around. She was so warm and happy despite the situation she found herself in. Who was I to lower her spirits like they did mine? Once the storm of tears were over I layed beside her.
