Opposites attract. Or do they?

After about half way through the ball I was just about done with introducing myself to everyone. So I just walked down and through the crowd. I was exhausted and this whole night was going terrible so far. When I saw his blue hair I walked over to him as if he were a magnet pulling me towards him.

He was looking at the stars just like Janice did sometimes. I saw a small tear fall from his eyes then.

"Hey, you ok?" I asked.

He turned away then and erased all evidence that he was crying from his face. Then he turned to me and said "Yeah. Why?"

"You just seemed upset is all" I said.

"Why's it matter to a princess like you anyway? I may have the tittle of a prince but inside I'm just your average joe" he said.

"Everyone is special in their own way. And as for the point you were trying to make don't you think it's unfair to give me advice you can't even follow" I asked.

"Fair point I suppose" he agreed.

"Why do you think your just like everyone else?" I asked.

"Stay away from me. I do things on my own" he said then.

"Wh....what?" I asked. What was with this guy. One second he seemed fine and the next he didn't seem fine.

"I said stay away" he repeated.

"Is that a threat?" I asked.

"Why would I threaten a princess?" He asked then.

"I don't know. You just seem a little convicted I guess" I said.

He scoffed then and said "You know nothing about me"

"I could if you let me that is" I said.

He looked me into my eyes then. "Your too innocent to know about my past" he said.

Then he touched my cheek. He also pulled in close only to kiss me on my neck.

"Besides, like I said I'm a solo kind of guy" he said.

"Sounds really lonely. Wouldn't you want someone you could trust, someone to love?" I asked.

"I'm not good for anyone though" he said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

He sighed then and went inside. I turned around and tried to reach for him. Now I was having an eternal battle with myself. My mind told me to stay away but my heart recognized a soul in need when I saw one.

I didn't know what to do. So I stood there like an idiot in a trance from his eyes.

That's when suddenly I noticed the temperature seemed to drop. I shivered outside. It almost seemed to follow him wherever he went.

I wondered what that was about. I walked inside though and finished getting the ball over with.

After the ball I sat on my bed and fell asleep. I done my usual schedule dreading the day of the scheduled meeting of my prince.

About half a year went by. It was then I was called to the office and I was forced to make a guy named Vanth.

I quickly packed my bags and said my last goodbyes to my castle as I dressed in an outfit for the occasion of meeting this Vanth guy. I got on the train. I watched everything fade into the background. It was almost how I felt. Like I was slowly fading into the background. The drive took forever and when I got off the train it started raining. I walked off the train and looked at my new home. It looked very dark and non welcoming. I sighed and moved forward to the front of the castle.

I opened the door and went inside then.

Then candle lights turned on as he walked down some stairs and said "Welcome to my home"

He remembered me though because he looked away.

"Thanks. So where's my room at? If you don't mind I would like to go there now" I said.

He opened the door that lead to a hallway with passages that lead everywhere. The only way to describe it was chaos.

"I think I'm going to be sick" I said all of a sudden.

"Oh, come on it's not that bad" Vanth said.

"Please, return everything back to normal" I said.

"Fine" Vanth said rolling his eyes. "Thanks. So where's my room?" I asked.

"Why don't you take a nap real quick. Also, what color do you like?" Vanth asked.

"Blue. I also like Stars" I answered.

"Alright. Then you take a nap and I'm going to make some uh....adjustments to your room" Vanth said softly.

I then layed down on the floor and started to sleep. Vanth got a couch and moved me in the couch then.

After he did he went to decorate my room. I fell asleep and now I had three months to spend with him. It was a deal I made with my parents.
