Astro and Wonderman Book 6 (Book version): Life and death

Vanth!

(Shara's point of view)  

I woke up in the morning and when I opened up my eyes Vanth wasn't beside me so I looked everywhere else in the house and when I didn't see him anywhere I began to worry.

It wasn't like him to just up and disappear. I also noticed that the room felt as cold as a freezer as if someone had turned on the a.c. and forgot to turn it off. The strange part about it was that when I checked it wasn't even on.

I then had a bad feeling. It wasn't like the house to get cold and it was the middle of winter so if anything the house would be hot.

I then decided to call Janice to ask her to watch the kids. I wanted to do some investigating on the situation.

She agreed to and I transformed. I had giant white angel wings, a yellow dress with sparkles over it, my hair out up in ponytails, yellow high heels, star earings, and star hair clips.

Once I transformed I could since his power but barely. That was strange to me though because he was such a powerful wizard. What if he's in danger I thought! So I flew off as fast as I could following his magic energy.

(Vanth's point of view)

I felt as though I was in water and I kept floating down. It was weird though because I could breath in it. I kept flyimg down for what seemed like forever until I saw a platform within the water.

My shadows kept speaking to me though and I felt like I couldn't take any more of this. I could have just told them to leave me alone but I knew them all too well. They wouldn't leave me alone until they got what they wanted. Ever since I started changing to the good side I'd been hearing their voices on and off so much lately.

"If I ever get out of this alive you guys will pay for betraying me like this" I growled at my shadows.

It was all too ironic that the very things I protected and created had betrayed me with the tricks I'd gifted them with.

I walked to the bubble in front of me. It hurt but not as much as it could considering a huge portion of me was still in the process of turning good because of Shara. I ended up seeming to call asleep for a few minutes until the memories of my past started awakening inside the bubble. Every single one of my darkest memories that I dared to never think off. It was then that I felt the pain I was expecting. Then red marks surrounded me the more my heart seemed to grow with rage from my last memories.

"Give in dark one. You knew you were meant for the darkness all along" the darker version of me said.

"No. I'm not that. I'm not a Monster!" I yelled.

However the evil me laughed.

"Your can play the act of innocent little angel all you want but deep down inside you know your a Monster and always will be. Why do you think your the God of death. Do you really think that the God of death can truly have a normal life just like everyone else. Much less with the goddess of life. Face it you two are just two different. There is no way you'd be able to get along with each other for long. You may be together for right now but do you really think you could be together for much longer after you make another mistake?" The darker me said.

I didn't find a response back and once I did I took his hand and accepted my fate.

Then a black magic surrounded me and before I knew it I felt as though I were asleep.......forever.

(Shara's point of view)

As I flew following Vanth's energy team it started to get more and more cold and Vanth's magic energy got so distant it was hard to tell where it was leading me and then all of a sudden his magic energy started turning into a darker one and slowly started growing.

"Vanth. Don't tell me you've decided on the dark side" I said sadly. It slowly started growing so strong it was starting to get to an unsettling amount of magic power.

I followed it until my wings has started freezing from it being so cold. Once they did I started falling to the ground. I transported myself to save myself from falling to the ground.

I landed on the ground softly then. Luckily I was where he was at. Then I used my magic powers to make the snow and ice disappear. After all I created the a snow so I was able to control it. Most of the time....Because it was starting to freeze over a little bit again. So I unfroze my wings and I was about to fly into a cave when it suddenly started collapsing.

"Vanth!" I yelled his name.

After a few minutes I saw him walk on top of the cave that was previously destroyed.

"Vanth!" I said in joy.

He laughed then and as he did I stayed frozen in my tracks. I wasn't sure what to expect then.

"Vanth is no longer here. I am Hunter Knight. I'm here to take my revenge on this world. This world will be destroyed and a new light will be brought to life" he laughed evily.

"No...Vanth stop! I know you can hear me. Don't give in to the darkness! I know you can do it. Friends are supposed to stick together!" I cried.

Then he laughed some more. "Love is for the weak" he said as he opened his eyes and they glowed a red color. Her also moved his hands and then a cage surrounded me and I almost landed on the ground with it with a hard thud. Until he lifted my cafe up with his magic.

Then Vanth levitated towards me. He couldn't do that before.

Then he said "Even if he wanted to be can't awaken right now. I'm too strong for that week poor excuse for a wizard. You can try all you want to but you'd just be wasting your breath"

"Well it's about time Hunter knight. I was waiting on you to capture your prey" a girl with long black hair said. That wasn't what caught my attention though. What caught my attention is her long black wings.

"Y.....your a fallen" I said.

"Yes my dear. And might I say that's a very fashionable look for you being in that case of yours. Maybe you should keep that fashionable look" the girl laughed.

"I thought you were banished!" I said.

"Yes, that's right. We were banished, to a world where we couldn't use magic. We were forced to give up magic while all of you fairies and Wizards still had your precious little magic up here. You also had the opportunity to live in luxury. Especially you, princess. But we had to live in a world where we hardly got enough food to eat each night. We were left there to rot and be forgotten about. Fortunately I was able to escape and my army of fallen will be joining soon. We're taking back our rightful place on earth" the girl smiled at me.

"But if you try to rule with fear and hatred you'll only get a world of fear and hatred and you'll never get a world filled with peace" I protested.

"You wouldn't know anything about my pain. You didn't have to watch your own subjects go through so much pain. You got everything you ever could want" the girl said.

"Please, I'm sure there's some way we could work this out. I'm about to be queen. As soon as I have my coronation in a few days" I tried reasoning with her.

"What do you say we start our war and world of darkness with her kingdom?" the girl asked.

Hunter knight grinned. "I say let's go"

Then the fallen Angel disappeared.

"This is also for my sister!" Hunter Knight seemed to say.

"What? What do you mean your sister?" I asked as he disappeared.

Then tears started streaming down my face. It took me a while to remember that they were talking about war in my kingdom and once that clicked I cleared away all the snow and created the biggest Angel wings I could manage and flew as fast as I could. I had to save my kingdom from getting destroyed. I didn't want to fight Vanth either but if it was the only way to keep my kingdom, my family safe then so be it.
