Shara and Vanth's friendship ignites

The next day came and I knocked on her door at about 1 because she would probably be up then.

"What is it?" Shara asked.

"I figured you might want to go out some. I've decided you can go outside the castle as long as we are together" I told her.

She opened the door then and I saw her face light up a little bit but she also looked like she'd been crying for a little bit.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah. So what would you want to do? Since I don't want to be assuming stuff again" I asked.

"Really? Cause I would have thought so" I told him.

"We going back to assuming how things should be?" I said.

She smiled then. "What do normal people do? I want the experience more then anything else" she said.

"You..........want to live a normal life?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Your not like every other princess are you?" He asked.

"I would have thought you would have figured that out by now" she said.

"Yeah. Well I'll give you a second to get dressed. Oh, and uh....So that you know what civilian clothes look like here's a magazine if you wanna look through it and decide on an outfit" I said.

She looked really shocked then but took the book and sat down on her bed going through the book.

I went downstairs. I found myself thinking about her. I tried to think of something else but my thoughts would manage to come back to her after a little bit.

She came down with a t-shirt and jeans and blue high heels to go with her shirt.

"What do you think?'" I asked.

"That you don't see a princess in civilian clothes everyday. You look great though" I smiled at her.

She smiled back and said "Thanks" 

I decided to go take her swimming. So we went to the store and bought some things for the trip and soon we were at a beach. 

"So if you want to do this the way normal people do take off your shoes" I said. I felt the sand in my toes and it felt amazing. I stepped closer to the water and it felt good to be around it. 

"It feels amazing" I said. 

"Do you know how to swim?" I asked. 

"No, do you?" She asked me. 

"Would you like to know how to swim?" I asked her. 

"Hey, you didn't answer my question" She said. 

"You didn't answer mine" Vanth said. 

"Fine. You got me there. I'd like to be able to swim" She said. 

"Alright. The first step is to get in the water" I said. 

She stepped more into the water. "It's really cold" She complained. 

 I sighed and got closer to her. "Wh...what are you doing?" She asked on gaurd. 

"Oh, nothing just this" I said as I pushed her in the water. It wasn't the deeper part of the water though. 

"You little...." She said with a smile on her face. Then she started splashing me so I got in and we had a splashing war. 

After we got used to the water we started laughing and I looked deep into her eyes. I suddenly noticed they were the beautifulest eyes I had seen. I put my hand on her cheek then. 

"Have I ever told you that your eyes are really beautiful?" I asked her. 

She blushed slightly then and said "No. But thanks. Your eyes are really beautiful as well. You know in a manly way" 

"Oh, right. We came here cause you wanted to learn how to swim. I guess I got a little distracted" I said then. 

I took her hand and helped her out and soon enough she was swimming in the water like a natural. 

"Wahoo!" She said as she swam in the water. I watched her and smiled. For the first time in a long time I knew I felt longing and happiness. It was rare when I showed a lot of emotion but it was hard to keep all my emotions contained with her. She just made it so easy to smile. 

We went to a few other places and then went back to the castle. 

"Thanks for today. I really enjoyed it and you know maybe your not so bad. Maybe if I get to know you there's a sweet side to you buried deep inside" She said. 

She was right. I was a sweet guy on the inside but it was a side of me I liked to keep hidden unless I needed it. Her words got to me though when she said maybe if I get to know you there's a sweet side to you. This was because I felt like for now we might be friends. Being friends made me happy. I then decided to plan another day of fun activities for us to do tomorrow. Maybe, just maybe we could work out. I was so concentrated on planning for tomorrow's activities that I almost was late for a meeting on the top floor with some friends of mine. 

I hadn't realized I had a small crush on her until the meeting was over.
