1: Helena (So Long and Goodnight)

"KIRA!" Bandit burst into my room wearing an adorable dress for picture day at her school.
        "Well, that's a lovely way to wake me up, Bee." I climbed out of bed and picked her up. The truth was, I was already up for ten minutes and I was just checking messages and social media.

        Three months ago, I was adopted by the famous couple, Gerard and Lindsey Way. Being a fan, I was very shocked but I quickly got used to being a Way.

        Bandit was so happy to have an older sister and I was definitely happy that I had a family. It was the beginning on November already and Gerard had put me in school just last week and I wasn't really accepted since most the kids are preps and jocks.

        I went through town quite a bit and I met two people who were my age. A girl named Lizzy and a guy named Dean.
        Dean and I were basically attached at the hip and he was over every weekend.
        Gerard was skeptical about it at first but then he got over it when he found out that Dean has a girlfriend named Tess.

        Tess was a prep where Dean, Lizzy, and I were the emos of the school. Us three get along with the theater kids but we weren't fully accepted with them. Even though Dean was like me, everyone loved him. He was that kind of guy that most girls wanted to be with and all the guys wanted to be friends with.

        I mean, he is good looking and a great guy to talk to.
        "Kira, Dean is here." I smiled and set her down.
        "Well, why don't you go tell him that I'll be down in a minute."

        I quickly put on a Sam and Colby XPLR hoodie, some skinny jeans, and my red converse. I brushed my hair but it fell back into my face as usual. This is what I get for having side swept bangs.

        I grabbed my bag and hopped down the stairs to see Dean wearing the same shoes and jeans as me but he had a My Chemical Romance hoodie on. 
        "Suck-up." He stuck his tongue out at me and then wrapped an arm around me.

        "Gerard!" Even though it's been three months, I'm still not used to calling him dad or Lindsey, Mom.
        Gerard popped in, holding a coffee mug.
        "We're heading to school." He walked over to  me and kissed that top of my head.

        "Have fun, Sunshine." I still blush at the nickname Gerard has for me. We walked out to Dean's truck and climbed in.
        "So are you taking Tess out today?" Dean nodded.

        I knew that Tess didn't like me and I can see why. I remember when I first came and Dean was showing me around, she nearly clawed my eyes out.
        "I'll hang with Lizzy then." Dean smiled.

        "Let me know where you it's go so I can pick you up and we can spend the weekend together." I gave him a thumbs up and I climbed out of the truck, heading inside.

        Lizzy was talking to a girl named Emma who had highlights and some glasses similar to mine.
        "Hey, Liz." I looked at Emma who was smiling.
        "Oh my gosh, you must be Kira! You're so pretty." She started messing with my hair which made me a bit uncomfortable considering I don't let anyone except Dean and my family mess with my hair.

        Also Frank if I'm not pissy with him.

        "So cute ugh." The bell rang and I grabbed my books and headed to first period. Emma basically followed Lizzy like a dog when she wasn't with her boyfriend, Bryan.

        Bryan was one of the popular kids and like Dean, everyone loved him. Most girls wanted to be with him and most guys wanted to be him but I thought that they need to chill.

        During lunch, Tess forced Dean to sit with her group so it was just Lizzy, Emma, Bryan, and I. I poked at my salad, disappointed that Dean couldn't sit with us.
        "Liz," I was getting annoyed that Emma was using my nickname for Lizzy but I didn't say anything.

        "Did you hear that Tess might be cheating on Dean?" I set my fork down and stood up.
        "Excuse me." I didn't mean to be so rude but I couldn't do gossip. I had enough of that from the orphanage. I walked out and sat in the bathroom for a good ten minutes before walking back and eating my food.
