24: Teenagers

Halloween. My favorite time of year. Tomorrow was Halloween and I was so excited. I was gonna take Bandit, the twins, and Miles trick or treating. After their night out, I was gonna stay over to Frank's. Him, Mr. Jack Barakat, and I were gonna have a horror movie marathon.
        Jack was visiting for a few days and he decided to join us for frank's birthday. I put on my unicorn onesie and messed with my hair and did my makeup.

        I wanted something simple so I could relax in it after trick or treating. Someone knocked on my door and I made sure my arms were bandaged in case they started bleeding. I didn't want my unicorn onesie all bloody.
        "You ready?" Lindsey popped her head in and I nodded, sticking my phone into my pocket. I made sure it was fully charged so in case someone needed to call me.

        I saw Jamia dropping of her kids and they all ran to hug me.
        "Hi guys! Are you excited?" They all nodded and we got pictures before we headed out. "Let's started this way and then move towards your house." I said more to Miles and the twins. We walked towards the park and of course the first house the kids ran to, was Dean's. I sighed a bit, knowing he was at college, but still sad.

        Cherry rang the doorbell and they all smiled. But, the person who answered the door, was none other than Dean.
        "Trick or treat!" Dean smiled and gave the kids candy.
        "Does the unicorn want some?" Dean looked at me and I bit my lip. I walked towards him, taking the candy and our fingers brushed against each other. I looked into his eyes for a split second and I could see the sadness in his eyes. I felt my eyes begin to water and I turned away, leading the kids away from the house.

        After a couple hours of trick or treating, we reached the Ireo household where Gerard and Lindsey were waiting to take Bandit home. We walked in and the kids all ran to the living room to count and trade candy.
        "How was it?" Jamia handed me a pack of makeup wipes she had for me in case I wore makeup today.
        "Pretty good. They were all polite and I made sure they didn't eat candy until they got here." I sighed and smiled.

        I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from the back and I looked up to see Jack towering over me.
        "Barakitty!" I squealed and turned around to hug him.
        "It's a unicorn!" Jack mimicked my squealing and we all laughed.
        "I'm gonna take my makeup off quick." I ran to the bathroom and wiped the makeup, looking at myself in the mirror. I could tell I wasn't sleeping well or doing well in general.

        Gerard had me do school online which was pretty easy but sleep and socializing wasn't working well for me. I sighed and rubbed my face with water, drying it off with a towel. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Bandit yawning.
        "I think someone needs some sleep." All the kids protested but Gerard picked Bandit up.
        "Sleep is important. Bye, princess. I'll see you tomorrow." Gerard kissed the top of my head and they left while Jamia took the kids up to bed.
        "Alright! I went shopping and got our fuel for the movie marathon. We've got shit ton of candy, pizza, soda for you and some alcohol for us," Frank gestured to him and Jack.

        "And so our selection is starting with the conjuring and moving towards Chucky, The Ring, and finishing with Insidious." I grinned.
        "Perfect!" Frank went into the kitchen to get our fuel.
        "Alex told me that you and Dean broke up?" I bit my lip and looked at my lap.
        "Yeah. It happened at the beginning of this summer. And he's away at college except the kids went to his house and he was there and it honestly was so hard to see him." Jack looked me in the eye.
        "Something tells me that you want him back." I nodded.

        "Who wants who back?" Frank set down the snacks and looked at me.
        "I miss Dean." I mumbled, flipping my phone around.
        "Really?" I nodded.
        "I saw him tonight and he handed me some candy and I could see the pain in his eye. I'm pretty sure he misses me, too." Jack rubbed my back.
        "Well if he's still in town tomorrow, you probably should talk to him." I raised an eyebrow.
        "There's school tomorrow, I'm sure he's going back." The conversation stopped as Jamia walked in.

        "Alright, let's not give the girl shitty dating advice and enjoy some horror movies!" I gave Jamia a thankful look and she smiled.
