Daniel was seated in a chair in front of the mirror. Today was the day. He was going to marry a stranger. He was going to marry a woman (he hoped), whom he has never seen before. He was going to marry someone he didn't even know existed. "Are you nervous?". The stylist asked him as she was busy with his hair. She had combed it a bit through, added some curling mouse as she was really enthusiastic about his curls and she didn't dare to put a pair of scissors in it. "Not yet. I think it'll come as soon as I'm there, like on waiting for my bride". Daniel replied, a chuckle following as a week ago, he'd never thought he'd say something like it. The stylist giggled and nodded, looking over at him through the mirror. "I love these kind of programmes. You can really see how the attraction from man to woman and the other way around work". She said.
The Australian looked at her hands as they were almost done with his hair. "Do relationships in here often work out?". He asked. He had gotten little to no information. Every manly participator was told that there was a bride for him and that they've been matched in an unique way. Based on even his genes and the way he was build. Truly connected to someone who could be define as his soulmate. Daniel shivered at the thought, not thinking that could be true. "It depends. There are so much amazing couples who walked out of here and are still happily married, have started a family and such. But of course it doesn't always work out and some people break it off after their honeymoon". She shrugged and placed her comb on the table in front of him. Her cold fingers unbuttoned the robe that was around him to prevent the small hairs from covering his clothes.
He only wore a white shirt and some underwear in the same colour, as their was a suit ready for him. Daniel had to admit, the programme didn't keep it small. He could compare the preparing hours with the Amber Lounge show he had walked before. The suit was high quality, an expansive brand had made them and it would fit him perfectly. Daniel pulled the trousers over his legs and left the buttons open to tuck the white button up in it. He zipped it up and closed the button, taking the leather belt one of the other girls handed him. Daniel pulled it through the loops and closed it, adjusting everything a bit before taking his tie and tying it around his neck in front of the mirror that matched his height. He swallowed hard as he looked at himself. He didn't picture himself getting ready like this, for his wedding. Now he became nervous. Daniel closed the buttons of the sleeves and reached out for his shoes.
His parents, his sister and his friends would all be there and so would the family of the bride be there. What would they think of him? What was his mother going to think of his bride? Grace Ricciardo had been very enthusiastically about the letter he had received. She already thanked Nick a thousand times that he had signed Daniel up for it, while he could only cross his arms over his chest and glare at his friend for this stupid idea. He locked his Tag Heuer watch around his wrist and pushed his arms through the sleeves of the jacket that belonged to the suit. A knock on his door made him look up and someone of the direction came in. "Mr. Ricciardo, how are you feeling?". The man asked and shook his hand. Daniel showed an awkward smile and shrugged a bit. "Okay, I guess. It's a special feeling". The man laughed as he could understand.
"Someone's going to get you in five minutes. The bride is ready too. She'll come in after you, of course". He explained and Daniel nodded. "Good luck". The man smiled and moved out of his dressing room again. Daniel began tap his foot a bit, feeling the heart beat quickening in his chest.
Gudrun wasn't any less nervous. She kept looking over at herself at the mirror. She hadn't pictured herself in a wedding dress anytime soon and there she was. Her hair was gently curled for a gentle expression, in an updo hairstyle and her make-up was beautifully done. She had to admit that she felt gorgeous too. At first, when she received the letter of the programme and it said that she was selected, she had been so mad at her friends, who could only laugh and say that she just needed to try it. She was annoyed for a good three days, however she was getting more curious to who her groom will be. She wondered what he will look like and if he was nice. If she believed the makers of this programme, they were going to match her with almost her soulmate. Gudrun moved her hands over the satin material of her dress, straightening it out as she took a deep breath.

A few curls framed her face and she let them hang there. Her eyelids sparkled with the rosegold eyeshadow, the eyeliner sharply drawn onto them. "Honey". Fallon sighed as she came in, wearing a dress as she and Michelle were her bridesmaids. "You look amazing". Michelle finished, looking at her beautiful dress. "You really do". Fallon added and Gudrun smiled at them. "It's so weird". She replied with a chuckle. "It is". The girls laughed. "Bet he'll be stunned by how beautiful you are. No man can turn you down this way". The three girls hugged each other. "We'll see how it goes. I hope he's at least nice enough so we can have a fun honeymoon too". Gudrun said, not wanting her husband to be a total asshole. She wouldn't hesitate about getting the first flight back home. Fallon and Michelle giggled. "We prayed for the hottest man in Perth". They admitted and Gudrun laughed a bit.
"Ms. Caulder?". Gudrun looked up at the voice behid her, she hadn't even heard the door as she had been talking with her friends. "It's your time to shine". The woman smiled and Gudrun felt her heart skipping a beat. She nodded and took the flowers from her. Her father was waiting for her at the door before they would enter the big hall. A small smile broke onto her face as she looked up at his emotional face. "You look beautiful, Gudrun. Just keep in mind, whoever is waiting there for you, he has to be on the path your heart wants to walk". Gudrun smiled again and swallowed the lump in her throat, she moved the veil in front of her face. She hooked her arm in his and the doors where shoved open. The typical wedding tune was played and everyone turned around to look at her.
Daniel turned his head to see his bride walking down the isle. Her father let her walk the last half alone and his eyes widened at how gorgeous she was, eventhough the veil was still slightly covering her face. Gudrun felt her heart racing as she saw him standing there. She carefully got up the small stairs to stand in front of him. "Hi". She breathed. The nerves were rushing through her veins as he didn't reply yet. Daniel stretched his arms to reach for the veil, stepping closer to move it over her head. His breath hitched in his throat as he looked into her eyes, her gentle features, her dark brown hair. She was beautiful. "Hi". He replied with a smile. "I'm Daniel". He extended his hand again. Gudrun smiled back and relaxed visibly, placing her hand in his. "I'm Gudrun. It's a pleasure to meet you". Oh my, he was so handsome. His eyes were a bit darker than hers, but still very kind, he was taller than she was and he had an athletic body.
Daniel moved her hand to his face and kissed the back of it, making Nick nudge Steve as they could finally see what kind of charmer their friend really was. "You're beautiful". He muttered, which made her giggle and blush a bit. "I'm from Perth, by the way". He mentioned with a grin and she laughed now, which made his heart flutter at the bright sound. "Me too, but born in Scotland". She replied. "I work at a restaurant with the best ribs in town". She added. "I work for Red Bull Racing". Daniel revealed with a grin and her eyes widened. "No way!". Gudrun squealed and slapped his arm. They both laugh. "I guess you can make my heart race". She said, a bit softer and he smiled down at her. "You're not messing with me, are you?". Gudrun asked, just to be sure he wasn't joking about being an F1 driver.
"I'm not messing with you, doll". Daniel chucked, taking her other hand in his. "Let's get married, shall we?". Gudrun said and took a deep breath again, looking up at him. "Let's do it. Amor vincit omnia, just read it on a banner, don't know what the hell it means. But I think it means you, me and a shotgun wedding in Las Vegas, baby".
