Daniel had to lie and fake a smile for the camera more often than this once, however this time it was the hardest one. He had say he was happy with his P4, he had to joke around by telling everyone he didn't want to test and would try to put Pierre in his car and all that while he smiled as wide as he could, while the back of his mind reminded him how miserable the last week had been. Daniel had to leave Gudrun at home, the doctor would do a check up this week and they had talked on the phone a couple times too, where she told him she felt a bit better and that the bleeding rests had stopped. It felt as if the whole pregnancy never happened. Daniel took his cap off his head and threw it on the couch in his driver's cabin. "It's been a real sticky day". Michael complained when he followed him. The Australian tried to wave some cool air towards him, glad the air conditioning system was on too.

"Tell me about it". Daniel groaned and stripped down to his briefs from the dampened, fireproof shirt and leggings and laid down on the massage table. Michael chuckled and eyed the driver for a couple seconds before getting a towel for his head to rest on. "You seem off the last couple days". Michael started, he didn't want to push it in case Daniel didn't want to tell him. "And you're tense". He continued as soon as his palms rubbed over Daniel's wide shoulders. "Really tense". Michael muttered. Daniel sighed and kept quiet, nibbling on his lower lip. "Gudrun lost the baby". He blurted out and it made Michael inhale sharply, his movements stopping. Daniel sat up. Michael wasn't sure what to say, the typical 'oh no' and 'oh my god' wasn't something for him to reply to this. "I'm so sorry, Dan". He softly said. "How did this happen?". Michael asked.

"Bloodclots". Daniel answered. "The baby didn't get enough blood and as it gets everything it needs to grow through Gudrun's blood...". Daniel said, letting out a heavy breath he didn't know he was holding. "I can't imagine what you're going through at the moment, but just let me know if you need anything". Michael mentioned and Daniel nodded. "Massage me back in time?". He suggested and Michael wasn't sure if he was allowed to laugh now, but he did when Daniel chuckled too. "I hope you're getting through". Michael mentioned as he continued to stretch Daniel's arm and pressed his palms on his shoulder blades. "Me too". Daniel said as he drifted away into his world of thoughts. After his muscles were stretched and relaxed as good as possible, it was time to get back to his hotel to take a shower and mostly rest for the testing day he had with Pirelli on the Hungaroring.

Daniel shrugged his backpack off his shoulders as he entered his hotel room, getting out of his clothes to take a hot shower, even though the hot temperatures of the nightfall in Budapest didn't really cool down at all. He let the water run down on him, closing his eyes as he let it wash his face. He missed her, whereas they hadn't even parted been parted from each other for a week. Gudrun was incredibly sad when he needed to leave and he was afraid her dark thoughts would take her over and she wouldn't be able to get over this. He didn't want to force her to get over it either, of course it's not possible to be all jolly and happy five days after a miscarriage. Luckily, it would take two more days for him to be on a flight back to Monaco. Daniel had been thinking about taking her to Los Angeles, showing her the place that felt like a second home next to Australia. Conceivably it would be good for them. Have a couple of nights out, just to be away from everything and everyone for a small while.

Daniel stopped the water from running and got out of the shower cubicle, his skin steaming from the heat of the water. He wrapped a towel around himself after he dried most of the water off his skin and walked into the bedroom to collect some underwear and a pair of shorts from his suitcase. Gudrun was seated on the couch when he called her, a small smile curled her lips. She knew he had been worried the hole week already and she was still incredibly undone by what had happened last week, yet she didn't him to lose focus during racing or anything else that could cause him a dangerous situation. "Hey". She said as she pressed the green button to accept his call. "Hi, doll". Daniel's voice sounded comforting in her ear and she laid her head down on one of the pillows of the sofa. "I received your present today". Gudrun smiled. "Oh, I'm glad. I wasn't sure if it would arrive before I'm coming back". He chuckled.
