After leaving Melbourne with a positive result, the rest of the races seemed to come so quickly. Gudrun came along with him to Bahrain, China and Baku, staying in Monaco during the Spanish race in Barcelona. Upcoming was the race of Monte Carlo anyway, so they'd stay in Monaco for another week. During the weeks into the season, Gudrun and Caterina had bonded a bit. Even though the Italian girl was a couple years younger than she was, they had no trouble getting along. Today they were going to have lunch at the beach with Dilara and Victoria, Max Verstappen's sister. The May weather was beautiful in Monaco and they wanted to make use of that, while their boyfriends were packing up to travel back to Monaco and get home tonight.

Gudrun was the last one to join the girls, parking her car on the side before plucking her bag from the passenger's seat and making her way down to the others. "Long time no see". Dilara smiled and stood up to wrap her arms around the Australian. "You're glowing, Gudrun". Caterina added, kissing her cheek. "You really are". Victoria smiled and hugged her too. "Are you using some new skincare products?". The younger Verstappen sibling asked. "No, I'm not". Gudrun laughed. "Didn't work out before either, Netflix is keeping me up at night, so it must be a coincidence". All the girls laughed at her response. Gudrun sat down next to Caterina and the waitress came to their table to take their orders. The beach restaurant of Monaco had amazing fruit salads, so Gudrun picked one of those. It was filled with melon and mango, and she was sure it'd calm the hungry feeling.

She was quite hungry the last couple days, which made her assume her period was near. The girls kept chatting about normal things, some girl stuff they could finally talk about without their boyfriends making comments about it. Gudrun enjoyed the time with her new friends, but she also missed Daniel, even though they facetimed each other every night. "So what are you going to do when your guys get back?". Dilara started, taking a bite of her sandwich. "Go out for dinner probably". Caterina replied, having the strap of her sparkling water between her lips. "I expected an answer like 'show him every corner of the bedroom', but okay". Gudrun mentioned, making Caterina snort and put her glass down. Dilara giggled and Victoria smiled from over the screen of her phone. "I'll leave that for you two, Gudrun". The Italian replied.

"I think Daniel would want to Netflix or something, maybe have some dinner too or order in before Michael shows up at our doorstep at seven and delivers him a couple hours later, complained drained from all energy". Gudrun chuckled. "Yeah, I get what you mean". Both girls hummed in agreement. "Me too". Victoria sarcastically said, causing them to laugh again. "Max is your brother though, so you do get it". Dilara added. "I'm still not over your wedding-ring by the way". She continued. It made Gudrun smile and look down at her hand. "I wear it proudly". The Scot answered. "I can imagine". Victoria sighed. "Would you guys ever want to marry, like official? As in, you choosing the location, the dress, and everything?". Caterina asked. Gudrun shrugged. "Perhaps, but I liked the way it went now. It was unique for sure". She smiled.

"What about kids? Daniel is so good with children". Victoria leaned her head in her hands. "He is, he loves children. We talked about it once, but it was more asking each other if we wanted children in the upcoming years. We're up for that". Gudrun answered. "We're so going babysit then". Dilara squealed and clapped her hands. "It's not like I'll be pregnant in the next four months or something". Gudrun laughed. "I'm sure your children will be the cutest". Cate said. "Okay, stop. I feel so old". Gudrun said as she finished her salad. "You are". Victoria teased, making her playfully roll her eyes. After the lunch, Gudrun drove back to the apartment she shared with Daniel. She didn't have anything particular to do, so she cleaned up a bit.

Daniel had left her a present before he left, because it was their six month anniversary. Gudrun didn't want to be the sappy couple who celebrated every half year they were together, but Daniel had blown her a kiss and said he just loved the opportunity to give her a present. She didn't want to open it yet, but he was already on his way back, so she didn't have to wait too long. Gudrun freshened the sheets on the bed and lit up some candles here and there, as the sun started to sink into the sea that was clearly visible from their balcony. She opened the glass doors to let the fresh air come into the apartment. A car honked down on the road and she looked down, seeing Daniel waving from out of the car window. Gudrun smiled and waved back at him.
