Daniel took her suitcase from her when they landed at LAX, smiling when she stretched her arms above her head with a yawn. It had been a long flight and she just woke up. Gudrun pulled her hair up in a ponytail to hide how hideous it actually looked on her head and glanced up at Daniel, smiling back. She let him take her suitcase without protest, knowing he'd want to carry it anyway. It was mid day in Los Angeles and the sun was shining bright. It was quite warm here, so Gudrun was glad she didn't wore a pair of jeans and a sweater. Daniel let her go in front of him while they walked through the gate and she took her trolley back from him to roll it towards the exit of the airport. Daniel had told her that a couple of good friends of his were here as well and one of them organized a party tomorrow. They were of course invited. Gudrun wasn't so sure if she looked forward to it, however she could perhaps meet new people and she'd have fun in the end anyway.

"Penny for your thoughts?". Daniel asked, his hand brushing over her lower arm when they stood in line for a cup of coffee. "Nothing special". Gudrun replied, looking up at him, placing her hands on his chest when he drew her closer. "Okay". He studied her face before pressing a kiss to her lips. After they got their coffees, they made their way to the arrivals hall to get to Aston Martin's contact person who had the keys of their Aston Martin for them, since AM USA could rent them a car. Being a Red Bull driver definitely had its advantages. "We never spoke about that offer of Renault again". Gudrun mentioned when they sat down in the smooth leather seats of the supercar. "I didn't want to think about it, actually". Daniel let out a soft chuckle. "But I think I've made my decision". He didn't start the engine yet. "I just want you to know that I support you in every step you make in your career, Dan". She smiled, placing her hand over his.

Daniel smiled at her. "I think you have to get ready to see me in yellow next year, babe". Gudrun laughed at what he said, taking his face in her hands to kiss him. "I'm happy you got it sorted out. Let's celebrate tomorrow". She smiled and he grinned widely, finally starting the engine of the dark red Aston Martin to drive away from the airport. He turned the radio on and the windows rolled down for the fresh wind when he steered the car over the highway. Gudrun had her sunglasses on and her brown hair blew along with the wind. Daniel looked sideways at her, realizing this was the first time in two weeks she really eyed as if she was relaxed and at ease with herself. He was so happy this trip turned out to be a great idea. "Caterina and Pierre are in Zakinthos". Gudrun mentioned when she tapped through the instagram stories of people she followed. "Yeah, Pierre told me they'd go there". Daniel answered. "You and Caterina are quit good friends, aren't you?". He asked with a smile as she nodded. "She's such a lovely girl. It seems that Giada, Charles' girlfriend is cool as well, but I haven't seen her a lot".

"I believe she's still in school". Daniel mumbled, having to pay attention to which turn they had to take. "Hmm". Gudrun hummed in response. "Have you told Caterina about you...?". He didn't finished his question but she knew what he meant. "No, not yet". Her answer was short and he assumed she just didn't want to ruin the holiday spirit for herself and for Caterina, which was true of course. Daniel eventually had to turn the car off the highway and they drove through the centre of Los Angeles, as if it was a movie scene. The in build navigation system brought them to the apartment they had rented and it was gigantic. It had two floors and the sea was practically their backyard. "Wow, this is amazing". Gudrun breathed when she stepped out of the car and took her sunglasses away from in front of her eyes. "I know, right?". Daniel smiled and wrapped his arms around her from behind, making her lean back against his chest. "Go inside, I'll take the luggage out of the car". Daniel kissed her cheek and ushered her to go inside the apartment, handing her the keys. She smiled over her shoulder and unlocked the door.

Gudrun studied the wide hallway she entered, which led her to the huge living room with a TV on the wall, grey sofa's that matched the white shades that filled the apartment. A sleek, black kitchen and a glass stars that led to the first floor. The first floor was just as bright as the ground floor, the stairs immediately leading her to the bedroom. The entire side wall was made of glass and gave an amazing sight upon the sea and the beach that was behind the apartment. "Do you like it?". Daniel asked, walking up the stairs after her. "I love it". Gudrun sighed and walked up to the balcony, shoving the glass doors open. He smiled and followed her, pulled her into his chest once more when they stood outside. The warm, late afternoon breeze was welcome and felt cooling after the hot temperatures of earlier during the day. "There is a jacuzzi in the room next to this one. I'd suggest you get your bikini on and get in there, I'll get us some snacks, two beers...". Daniel wiggled his eyebrows, which made her laugh
