"I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose-"
"Bernard-"
"Fire away, fire away, ricochet, you take your aim-"
The man barely managed to get away from Cassidy this time. He continued singing, struggling not to laugh as he did so.
"Fire away, fire away!"
"Now I'll show you!" Cassidy growled. Within seconds, she had pounced on the man, making him fall on the ground, her on top of him. Garry and Hailey that were sitting on a couch just watched the two, evidently amused by their behaviour.
The beater tried to pin her friend down, but before she could, Bernard had flipped them off, so that he was now on top. Without hesitating, he started singing again.
"You shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium! You shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium!" he bellowed out as he barely managed to keep a struggling Cassidy from flipping them off again.
Once he had finished his song, he looked down at her with a wild grin. Finally, the woman managed to kick him off of her. Bernard rolled away, howling in pain, but it was evident that Cassidy was not the least bit sorry.
"What did I lose?" Isabelle asked, a small smile on her lips. She had watched everything from the top of the stairs, but she did not really know why the two had decided to create a scene.
"Bernard is just sleep deprived," Garry shrugged as his blonde friend stopped just behind the couch he was sitting. "And Cassidy is moody."
"I am not moody!" the woman exclaimed, her eyes narrowing as she looked at her friend. However, Garry did not seem affected. If anything, he seemed even more amused than before.
"My stomach!" Bernard whined as he rolled on the floor. Hailey laughed slightly as she shook her head. Isabelle watched as the brunette stood up and made her way to her boyfriend. She sat down next to him on the ground, and the man immediately stopped moving as he looked up at her with a grin. "Hello, darling."
"How do you like the floor, honey?" Hailey smiled as she leaned in and pecked his lips.
"Well, a bed would be better," he shrugged, the grin still evident on his face.
"How adorable," Cassidy cut in, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Hailey laughed as she looked up at her friend who had sat up and was standing next to Isabelle. "Get off the floor, we have to go eat something and then we have classes to attend."
"Life is tiring," Garry mumbled as he stood up.
No one replied. They waited until Hailey had pulled Bernard up to his feet and then, after taking what they would need for their first lesson, they headed to the Great Hall for breakfast.
Cassidy and Isabelle walked in the front, with Garry in the middle and Hailey with Bernard walking in the back of the group, their hands intertwined as they spoke in low voices so that the others would not hear them.
"When is the first match of the season?" Isabelle asked Cassidy. Her friend furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she thought, before she seemed to remember.
"Sometime in November," she nodded to herself, "but we do not know with whom we are going to play. It's too early for us to know. It's only the second week of school, Isabelle!"
"I know, I know," the blonde laughed, "but I do want to see our team playing. It would be a good excuse for a party."
"We could party anytime," Cassidy turned to her with a grin. "You, Hailey and I could party in our dormitory! Now that Violet has transferred to Ilvermorny, we can do whatever we wish!"
