Isabelle's decision to actually let Bernard and Hailey know about her situation turned out to be a good one. Bernard had instantly refused to kick her leg and so had Hailey, but after some pleas from both her and Cassidy, she had caved in. She had just touched her leg, but it was enough for her to realise that something was not the way she expected it to. Soon, Bernard had touched her leg with his own and had felt the prosthetic beneath her sock.

Needless to say, they were both shocked, with Hailey getting over it quicker than Bernard. For the first day or so, he felt slightly betrayed she had not told him sooner, but he had gotten over it soon enough and everything had gotten back to the way it used to be. Or rather, that was the way things appeared to be.

Isabelle felt a lot better. Finally, she had told her friends about the situation and now there were no secrets from her part and that had lifted a weight off her shoulders. She felt like she was closer to Bernard and Hailey as well, if that was even possible. The only one she noticed wasn't as great as they used to be was Cassidy.

The girl would usually disappear after class or any shared meals and most of the time, she would either be in the Quidditch Pitch training or in the dormitory. Isabelle felt like she was withdrawing herself from them and it alarmed her. However, she didn't say anything. She would wait in case she told her anything, and if she didn't, then she would confront her about it herself.

It had been a week since she had revealed her secret to Bernard and Hailey. After some necessary studying, she was enjoying the rest of the afternoon sitting below a tree near the Black Lake beside Scorpius. His head was on her lap and she was playing with his hair as he hummed a tune she didn't know of. She was lost in her thoughts.

Despite all the pleasant things that had happened in the past week, she couldn't help but worry about Garry. After all, he knew about her situation. For a week now, though, he had said nothing about it. She didn't know whether she should be worried or relieved about it. She couldn't simply believe that he would say nothing to others about it, but then again, it had been quite some time. His plan should have been put in motion by now.

Lost in her thoughts, it took her some time to realise Scorpius had stopped humming. Looking down at him, she realised that his eyes were closed and there was a content smile on his lips. Seeing him like that, she couldn't help but smile as well. Reaching down, she put her braid behind her back and placed a kiss on his forehead. His smile slightly widened as she started running his hands through his hair and reached down once again, this time placing a short kiss on his lips. She was about to pull back when he opened his eyes and pushed himself up, pressing his lips against hers in return.

Smiling during the kiss, she kissed him back and let herself enjoy the moment for a while before she pulled back, their faces inches apart.

"I like being with you like that," she murmured as she pressed her forehead against his, "it's relaxing."

"It is," he agreed as he pulled back, looking her in the eyes. "What if we got on a holiday together after school?"

"Dad would faint if he heard that," she giggled, "Where would we go?"

"Wherever we feel like it, we have the money to do it."

"Alright then," she thought for a while before coming up with a decision. "I would like to visit France. I could ask father about our family. There must be something for me there."

"Maybe," he agreed with a smile. "Would you ever live there?"

"If I liked the place, the people, there was something for me there and there was someone by my side, then why not?" she smiled back at him. "After all, I do know the language."
