"You know that feeling you get at points that you want to do nothing and everything at the same time?"

Scorpius lazily looked up from his potions textbook at Albus, not bothering to raise his upper body so that he wasn't laying on his bed. His friend was standing beside his bed, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at a wall. Scorpius blinked as he watched him, before with a shake of his head, turned back to his textbook. "No, I don't."

"You are lucky."

The textbook fell from Scorpius's hands and to his chest as Albus flopped on his bed, bringing him to let out a sigh and then cast an annoyed glare at him. "What do you want?"

Albus raised an eyebrow. "Someone to talk to, obviously."

"Find someone else," Scorpius rolled his eyes as he raised his textbook once again to keep studying. Not a second later, though, the book was stolen from him and the distant thud that followed indicated that it was now laying somewhere on the floor. He couldn't help but groan. "Albus, give me my textbook."

"Too late, it's far away now, I can't reach it," he shrugged unapologetically. "Are you listening now? I want to talk to you."

"Why can't you get Effie, she is better at this," he grumbled even as he pushed himself up so that he was leaning on his elbows for support.

"I don't want Effie," he shook his head as he looked at his lap, "I wish to talk to you."

"Alright, since you aren't going to let me study, I suppose I don't have anything better to do," he shrugged, "What do you want to talk to me about?"

"It's about Niha," he admitted as he avoided looking at his direction. "I don't know what I am supposed to do. Should I make a move with her or should I wait? Perhaps it would be better after graduation?"

"Most of us will drift apart after graduation, Albus," Scorpius said softly, "you only have these few months to make a move, or else, you'll either stay friends or worse, strangers."

"But what if making a move is not what I should do?" he mumbled as he finally looked up at him. "What if she thinks I am rushing things? What if she doesn't reciprocate my feelings?"

Scorpius took a moment to look at his friend's expression. His eyebrows were furrowed, his lips were forming a small frown. He was worried, that much was evident, and at the moment, he couldn't help but feel bad for him. He shouldn't be so worried over that when NEWTs were just around the corner. There were more important things for him to worry about, romance shouldn't be one of the reasons causing him stress.

With a small sigh, Scorpius finally pushed himself up fully and leaned closer to Albus, placing a hand on his knee so as to get his attention. Albus snapped his head to him, his eyes widening slightly as if he had been startled by the contact. Soon though, his eyes turned back to normal and he relaxed as he brought himself to look up at him. "What?"

"Everything is going to be fine in the end," he muttered, "no matter what happens between you and Niha, I am certain you are going to find a way to be happy again. I would advice you to make a move with her and do not fear rejection. Even if she doesn't care for you like that, it's not the end of the world. She isn't the only person on this planet, you could always find someone else in some time. Whatever happens, everything is going to work out in the end."

"What if Isabelle didn't feel the same way?" Albus asked softly, referring to his own relationship. "Do you think you could still be friends?"

"Perhaps not immediately," he admitted, "but in the end, I think we would be friends again. She would be accepting regardless my feelings, and I think it's the same with Niha. She wouldn't hold your feelings against you, I am sure of that. Perhaps at first she would find it awkward to be around you, but after that, you could be friends again, like nothing had changed. Niha would have no issue with that. The question is, would you be able to keep living being friends with a girl that would never like you back?"
