A sunflower is just a flower
until you look at it like it isn't,
My sunflower is the pieces of my childhood
the running through big yards
and picking flowers in meadows.
My sunflower is the paint spreading over the canvas
mixing with the different colours to create life in art.
Sunflowers are meant to grow tall and strong
unique in their own way
yet the same.
You strain yourself, trying to look like a sunflower
trying to look the same as everyone else.
A sunflower is just a sunflower
until you look at it like it isn't.
Look at yourself like you aren't everyone else
and you will find yourself.
Just like you find sunflowers in a garden.
