i like to write with old keyboards
mostly because of the sound it makes when my fingers press onto the keys
but also because it reminds me of simpler times
when i was young, and technology wasn't yet the height of our society
when the outside world was so much more than just buildings and trees and plants
when running through the forest was exciting, because we hadn't seen enough scary movies to convince us otherwise
nobody dwelled on the news, because the only news we heard was what we read in newspapers where we could avoid it if need be
i like to use keyboards because i feel like i'm someone else
like an old english book writer, sitting in his cottage with a cup of coffee, thinking about what to write about next
or an accountant, typing out numbers, or something
i also like keyboards
because i can hear the sound it makes when i type out
i love you.
