Waking up with a cough, I head to the shower and did my daily routine with Belle. Kim drove them like in their usual time at six and Owen left me and Spark here. I fed Spark and brushed his teeth, bathe him, dried him and combed his fur. I wore my black pants and my beige shirt and grab my brown-beige coat with my ankle heel boots and I look like a detective. Sighing as I drove me and Spark to school, I parked at the corner.
We head to the locker and saw Jason grab his stuff. I grab my books and notebooks. "Scarlett." He says looking at me but I avoided his gaze well and ignored him like I didn't see or hear him. The other people had their eyes shot at me like a bullet and I walk normally as if I didn't do anything. Yes, they always say no one avoids the player-nerd Jason Waters but I simply don't care. I like ignoring people too.
I head to my first class in Gym with Belle as I change in the girl's locker room into my gym shorts and white tee and rubber shoes. "This day sucks." Belle whines.
"Yup." I agreed as the three of us go to the gym and did our warm ups. Spark stayed at the bleachers as we did our usual two rounds and the coach holds his megaphone.
"I challenge all of the athletes to step forward. Martial Arts, cheerdancers, weight lifters, basketball and soccer players ." He says as I sigh and step forward as I put my hands on my pockets and stood next to Kim.
Kim is actually a weight lifter but his body doesn't look muscular. He looks like those sexy Greek god bodies. Not too much muscle and definitely not fat. Just like Jason.
I snap my thoughts and thought how the hell am I thinking about him when I'm mad at him. "I want you to run a mile at the field and who wins gets a pass for water breaks which means you can have your water breaks anytime for the whole semester." Coach Martinez challenges. Finally something interesting.
We all went down on the field near the campus and we start of with a legit starting line and end with another line across the field. That's just a mile; nothing more.
Once he has pulled the trigger we start running and immediately me and Kim led the race. The others were behind and the cheerleaders backed of on their 3 km race and the basketball team fainting. Kim got tired and backed out and we are few meters away from the finish line.
Jason is still running but I beat him to the finish line and he went in second place as I pant of exhaustion. "Obviously you won." Coach Martinez crossed his arms and I roll my eyes. "4 minutes and 12 seconds while Jason is 4 minutes and 13 seconds!" Martinez yells. That's just a 1 second gap.
Ignoring Jason still, I sat on the bench and drank water. The bell rang as I went to the girl's locker room and changed back into my clothes and went out with Belle and Spark for recess.
"I became useless now." I whine.
"Yeah. Monsters don't appear now. It's a good thing." She smiles. "No one gets hurt." She happily added as we sat on our usual table.
We ate quietly until the usual bullies who wants to try on me or Belle; Travis and David went on our table. "Hey girls." They greeted with their million dollar smirk and we roll our eyes.
"You could sit with us you know." Travis lifts my chin and our faces are only inches apart. Gladly I don't blush and look intently at his eyes.
"We're not interested." I push him but he doesn't budge. Sadly, Spark was sleeping on the table so he can't hear anything. "What do you want?" I raise my eyebrow.
"I want you." He says with full lust.
"Try next time douche." I snap and he gives me slap and damn did it hurt.
