" i saw you with eunwoo sunbaenim earlier. what did you guys talk about?" daniel asked casually, keeping his eyes on the road.
" oh, he asked me out on a date- oh my god!" hwayoung shouted, for daniel had literally stepped on the brakes. both of their bodies being propelled slightly forward. good thing there wasn't anyone driving behind them. " um what the hell just happened?" she asked, wide- eyed.
" sorry, there was uh, a cat on the road. a date, huh?" daniel pretended to be nonchalant about it. " minseo's coming with us. no need to be jealous gucciboy." hwayoung smirked teasingly and daniel almost sighed in relief.
" it feels weird hearing you say that in real life." daniel commented, tilting his dead in amusement. " you basically started that nickname remember?" hwayoung inquired, looking at him.
" well yeah, but i want a different petname from you. something for the both of us only." he added, pouting. hwayoung noticed that he was actually thinking of one.
" i still think babe sounds right." hwayoung raised a brow at his suggestion. " you're just saying that so you can call me babe all the time." she snapped back, chuckling lightly.
" what you meant was that you can call me babe anytime." he smiled, looking at her through the side mirror. " i am certainly not doing that." she says, rolling her eyes at him.
" come on, don't you want some practice?" daniel nudges her with his elbow. " practice on what?" she asks, adjusting her seat.
" practice calling each other cute names for when we become official someday." hwayoung nearly choked on her saliva, looking at him with a 'did you just say that?' type of expression.
daniel laughed hysterically, looking at her hilarious expression. " obviously you're trying to get the both of us killed. oh my god kang focus on driving!" she almost stuttered, while daniel continued to chuckle senselessly.
" i wouldn't complain if my last moments were with you though, i'd die happy." he added on, making her glare even more prominent. " don't jinx it! i still want to live a long life thank you very much." she sassed despite the fact that her heart was beating so fast.
they finally reached wanna one's dorm and got off the car. daniel carried hwayoung's things inside even when she refused to let him. " i have hands too, you know." she mentioned quietly and he just smiled.
