" hey loverboy, my sister's awake." were the only words doyoung said before the line cut off. it wasn't even 10 seconds into the call, yet daniel had already hung up.
the news sent shivers down daniel spine, he couldn't utter a word nor could he feel anything else but immediate joy and excitement. he immediately went to their manager, asking if he could go on an impromptu trip back to the province where hwayoung's hospital was at.
his smile curled downwards, the expression painted on his face dimmed into a more serious one.
" what do you mean i can't go?" daniel inquired. sure, he might've sounded like a little kid deprived of his candy, but seeing her awake was the only thing that wrapped his mind.
" you guys don't have time for anything else except the work you're given this week. you have recordings and shoots on top of concerts, if you're going to travel there and go back, it will have a conflict with your schedule." one of their male managers said to him.
" but i have to see her. i have to see if she's okay." daniel continued to be eager about it.
" you've said it yourself. she's already awake, which is an implication that she's fine now. you don't need to go there, daniel. this is more important." the manager sternly said. daniel scrunched his forehead.
what could be more important to me than her?
" but hwayoung is more important." a voice behind daniel said. jihoon overheard their conversation and butted in as soon as he heard hwayoung's name.
daniel looked at the boy agreeingly, then looking back to their manager.
the manager's phone rang, so he had to take the urgent call. the two men waited for a few minutes and gave their manager some time to talk with whoever was on the line. it took him a while to get back.
" she's going back to seoul in 3 days. you don't need to visit her. all wannaone members and staff along with the involved trainee, lee taeyong, will have a meeting on friday at 3pm." the manager announced, dismissing the both of them. they knew they couldn't do anything but just wait, again. even though they longed to see hwayoung, they felt somehow relieved that she was going back to the company.
"but i miss her so bad." jihoon whispered inaudibly. but daniel heard them loud and clear.
