" why am i so ugly?" i asked myself while i was looking at my face through the bathroom mirror. i sighed deeply, continuing to brush my teeth and the toothpaste suds were already getting onto my chin.

it was tuesday today, and it was the day with my friendly date with eunwoo oppa and minseo. there wasn't any school today either, which made complete sense since i had to get ready.

i picked out some denim overalls and tucked in a pastel pink shirt underneath, tying my hair into a ponytail since i was too lazy to style it. i decided to text minseo beforehand if she was already getting ready, but to my luck, she wasn't replying.

" oh well, guess i'd better go ahead." i muttered, slipping on some white sneakers. i grabbed my satchel and phone with me and headed to the restaurant that eunwoo oppa texted me about.

the taxi i was riding slowly approached an old looking diner. it looked strange in my eyes, considering that it was placed in such a busy street in seoul, but it wasn't modern- looking like any of the other establishments.

i let myself in, and spot eunwoo oppa sitting in one of the tables. there were seats for only two people, which made me confused. i approached him,

" hey eunwoo oppa, sorry for making you wait. shouldn't we get a seat for minseo though?" i suggested, sitting myself down on the wooden chair. " oh- yeah, right. i forgot about that." he awkwardly rubbed his nape, whispering something under his breath that i couldn't quite make out.

" what was that?" i asked. " o- oh nothing. do you want to order already?" he offered, handing me the menu. there was something awfully different about him today. he wasn't cheerful or energetic as usual, he just seemed... tense. like he was waiting for something to happen.

' where the hell is minseo anyway? she's literally 20 minutes late already!' my mind screamed.

" may i take your orders?" i looked up to see waitress who was wearing a purple cap. she stooped her head low, not bothering to look at either of us. " i'll have soy garlic fried chicken with kimchi on the side. and just plain water." i said and she quietly jotted it down on her little note pad.

i did a double take on her, tilting my head as i examined her features. she looks disturbingly familiar, but i couldn't lay a finger on it.
