Britha smiled down at her protruding stomach. Tea and Leon slept in the back seat, Degan hummed softly as he drove. The main highway was almost completely empty. They had passed only 2 or 3 cars on their way to the Fallen District.
Britha knew a lot about the Fallen District, that was where her mother was born after all. It was created long ago when Lord Kyran was still alive. He bannished Nightmares, Shadows, and Hollows from the main land so they all came together and made their own, new home without Kyran knowing. But those days were long ago. The Fallen District was still mainly populated by Shadows, Nightmares and Hollows. Though it had opened its gates to the rest of the world once Kyran was replaced by Shiruki Bloodriver. Though Shiruki died 10 years after she had become Lady, she mannaged to unite the species and undo all the horrible things Kyran did. Kingdoms ceased their wars and Epecien was at peace. This peace continues to this very day. Rumor has it that Shiruki's very own daughter, Mizori, lives in the Fallen District with her son, Marshilee. Britha had always dreamed of meeting the prince. The stories her mother told of him were astonishing, making Britha want to meet him even more.
The sun had fallen, the moon now illuminated the slender strip of asphalt, the shadows of the trees danced viciously in the wind. 2 miles down the lanky road they came to an open gate. The spiraled iron twisted and slithered into the words 'Home of The Fallen' at the top of the gates arch. Each house was different, all looked like log cabins, but each one was perfect in its own way. On the back of each middle step of the houses read Shadow, Nightmare or Hollow, identifying which species lived where. The streets were crowded with people. Some had large horns, others were covered in tribal paint and some looked straight up normal.
Degan pulled the truck to a stop as a female approach the vehicle. Her white nail tapped the window and Degan roled it down. Britha looked over, mesmerized by the females beauty. Her snow white hair fell to her hips, her black horns looped down, their tips rested by her toffee cheeks. White dots traced the top of her white brows, under her teal eyes, down her small, rounded nose as short white lines crossed her cheeks, as another went down the center of her bottom, luscious red lips.
"Welcome to the Fallen. My name is Yazmina, wife of Harlock, Elder of the Shadows. How may I assist you?" Her voice was smooth, her words flowed softly as her eyes fell from Degan to Britha, a faint smile laced her lips.
Degan smiled at Yazmina as he nodded softly. "I'm Degan, this is Britha..." He looked over at Britha then pointed to the back seats. "That's Leon and Tea back there." He then rested his hands on the wheel looked back to Yazmina. "We're looking for a Eeridessa Hije..."
Yazmina's eyes widened as she faked a smile and pointed. "Your going to go straight the take a left into the eastern side of the District. Then head straight for a mile, her home will be on your left." She then lowered her hand along with her head as her smile faded. "It was a pleasure to meet the both of you..." Her voice had lost its kindness and was now weak and sad.
Degan raised a brow but nodded. "Thanks...It was nice to meet you as well, Yazmina." Degan then rolled the window down and turned the key in the ignition. Once the truck released a roar, everyone cleared the street and Degan followed the directions he was given.
"Hey!" He shouted as she snapped his fingers, his arm streatched back. "Wake up, we're here!"
Tea was the first to open her eyes as she stretched her arms. She then shook Leon, stopping once he lifted his lids with a groan. Degan then placed his hand above Britha's knee as they turned left. "You won't feel a thing..." He joked as he chuckled softly. Britha giggled as her mother placed a hand in her shoulder and cleared her throat.
"Do not stare, she doesn't like it..." Tea looked at each of them, smiling as they all gave her a nod. "This woman was 1025 years old when I was born...The locals are terrified of her beacuse of what she is, even though they are the same as she. When they changed their eating habits, she could not. If she snifs you, do not pull away from her or freak out, she will bite you just to spite you..."
Leon looked at Tea with worried eyes, "Mind telling us what she is?"
Tea smirked as the truck came to a stop. Her black orbs fell to the window as she answered his questin.  "She is the daughter of Alciel..." She paused as Degan got out of the truck and went over to help Britha. "She is the Djall of Epecien." Tea got out of the truck and Leon followed close behind.
"Wait...seriously?!" Leon adjusted his glassed as they made their way up to the small, black log cabin, which looked as eerie as the dark blood colored door.
Tea stepped ahead of everyone and placed her hand in the door. "Wait here..We do not want to overwhelm her." She was tgen swalloed by the darkness of the house.
