Two months had past since Degan snapped. Britha had learned that he had slaughtered one of the girls a day before Britha arrived. Her name was Pamela, she was the cook of the house until she tried to poison Degan's wife, Miranda.
Degan had spent the last two months searching every site he knew, but so far he found nothing but false leads and burned hopes. Degan knew the woman was alive. He had done his research and figured out exactly what she was, and that was enough to let him know she was alive, if she was what he thought, she would be immortal so it didn't worry him. He was more stressed about the fact that he couldn't find her on any of the 290 plantations he looked over, very thoroughly.
"Lunch is ready!" Nani shouted. Her melodic yet deep voice always brought a smile to Degan's lips. He clicked the button on the top of his phone as he stood up from the lounge chair in the yard and slid it into his pocket. He then, along with Chris, King, Dex, Serena and Britha made his way into the house. Serena and Britha had becone very close over the months, which made Degan happy. Serena wasn't really liked by the other girls so he was happy that she had finally found someone to get along with. They all sat at the long dining room table as Nani placed a large bowl of chicken salad in the center of the table, then a bowl in front of everyone before going to get forks.
"The fuck is this?" King poked at the salad and Chris shot him a look.
"It's lunch..." Dex shook his head with a scowl as Nani came back into the room and sat a fork down by everyone's bowl. She then sat herself next to Dex.
"If you don't want to eat then you don't have too, just remember that you won't get any desert tonight. I'm making cheesecake." Nani smirked as she scooped some salad into her bowl, the others then did the same. Degan chuckled at King's mumbling as she shoveled some of his salad into his mouth. Not much longer the others taken the places of Chris, Dex, King, Degan, Britha and Nani at the table.
Degan made his way over to the shed as the others went back to what they were doing.
A boy, looking to be about 19 or 20 went to rush out of the shed door when Degan went to go in. "Boss! Just who I wanted to see..."
"How's the search going, Leon?" Degan scratched his head as a tendril fell in front of his face.
"I think I found her, Boss!" Leon's voice was low but excited as he smiled wide and pushed his glasses back on the bridge of his freckled nose.
"Well don't just stand there! Show me what you found!" Degan's lips curled at the corners as his eyes lit up with glee.
"Right!" The boy turned on his heel and sped his way over to a computer in the corner of the shed. Degan placed a hand on the ledge of the desk and leaned over as Leon sat in the chair.
Leon clicked on the planet, which opened a page. The page was filled with names. He scrolled down three times and clicked on a name.
"She...She fit what you gave me perfectly but you didn't describe her to me so I wanted to let you see before I asked them anything." He looked up at Degan who pulled out his phone and pulled up a picture. Leon then clicked on a picture on the computer. They looked at the two pictures an smiled wildly.
"It's her, alright." Degan's smike twisted into a smirk as he patted Leon on the back, pointing at the screen with his other hand. "What's the address?"
Leon closed the picture and clicked on a small house icon. "5603 Crimsona street, Kippling district." Leon scowled as he said the last two words.
"The rich bitches and pricks? Why didn't I see that coming?" Degan chuckled as he shook his head. "Ask them her price then meet me at the gate, I'm going to go get the Vet..." Degan smiled as he jogged out the shed and o over to the garage.
Not much later one of the garage doors slid up and out came an ice blue corvette spider, accented I with black and blacked out windows. On the way down the driveway he blew the horn and Britha looked up from the porch. "I'll be back by tomorrow morning. Be up by 7." Britha nodded and waved bye as Degan made his way down to the gate.
Leon ran out of the shed and up to the car, a tablet in his hand. "Boss...." Leon paused as he leaned down to the driver side window.
"What'd they say?" Degan rested his right hand on the wheel as he tapped his left index and thumb together.
"Th-they want 32 grand, boss...." Leon nibbled on the inside of his bottom lip as his nerves got to him.
"We made like four times that from the bank job! Get the duffle from under the floor...and don't bother counting any of it, we'll do that on our way there..."
