Degan and Britha watched Ezekiel as he played with his toys on the deck. About an hour had passed since Tea had taken Marshilee upstairs.
"You think they're alright?" Degan looked over to Britha as he propped his left ankle on his right knee.
"Mum can handle haself..." Britha pushed her pink hair from her face, only for the wind to blow it right back. Ezekiel released a small whine and waddled to her. "Wet's wrong, Ezzy?"
"Cold.." Ezekiel made grabby hands at his mother. She picked him up and snuggled him against her with a gentle smile.
"How about we head inside? Degan stood up and they made their way inside.
Tea's laugh echoed from the main hall, Marshilee's soon followed. Degan rolled his eyes, not liking the man at all, if he tried anything, Degan wasn't going to hesitate to rip his wings off.
The two came around the corner, Tea snickered as Ezekiel smiled wildly at her, once again making grabby hands. "Gammy!" The boys voice was cheerful.
She laughed and took him from Britha's arms, placing a kiss to his forehead. "Darling, why are you cold?"
"We wah outside, mum" Britha smiled and ruffled Ezekiel's long, black curls.
Degan's eyes refrained from leaving Marshilee, who watched Ezekiel with a smirk. "Seems you're feeling better, Marshilee."
Marshilee turned his attention to Degan, crystal hues turning jade as he immediately sensed that Degan felt threatened by him. "Calm down. If I was going to do something, I would have already done it and been home by now." Tea turned and reverted her attention to Degan and Marsh once she heard Marshilee's words.
"Both of you, knock it off..." She sighed and shookher head. "Acting like children."
Britha snickered at her mothers words, watching as Ezekiel played with Tea's snow strands. She looked to Marshilee. "We'll get ye hum es soon es possible."
Marshilee slipped his hands into the front pockets of his ripped up black baggy yet skinny jeans. "I appreciate the hospitality, but my mom is probably having a heart attack because I haven't contacted her. I lost my phone when you guys picked me up, and she worries alot."
Britha looked down as she held her left forearm in her right hand. "Ah'm surreh aboot th-" She stopped as Degan held out his phone.
"Use mine. You guys live in the Fallen District, Right?"
Marshilee took the phone and began to type in his mothers number. "Yeah, thanks"
"Tell her you'll be home in 2 hours." Degan then looked to Tea. "Would you like to come?"
Tea looked at Britha, knowing she had always wanted to meet the Queen. She gave a small shake of her head, "No, though I believe Britha would love too." She nudged her daughter, who smirked at Degan and grabbed his arm.
"Please! Ah'll be silent da whole ride!" She bounced on her toes and smiled, hopping he'd say yes.
Degan let out a small chuckle as he pat Britha's head with his free hand. "Fine, you can come. Slick and Tea can watch Ezekiel."
Britha stood on her tippy toes and pressed her lips against Degan's then ran off with glee in her steps.
Degan shook his head with a laugh, "I swear that girl's a little too high on life sometimes.." Tea giggled at his comment as Marshilee came back into the hall. "So how'd your phone call go?" He held out his hand to recieve his phone.
"Well... She's glad I'm okay. I told her what happened and she's demanding to meet you." Marshilee handed Degan his phone back and slipped his hand back into his pocket.
"Then lets get going." The three made their way to the front porch, Britha then quickly followed behind Degan and Marshilee as Tea stood with Slick on the porch, Ezekiel asleep on her hip.
Degan unlocked the truck, Marshilee climbed into the back seat  as Degan held the door for Britha, closed it then climbed into the driver seat. He put the key into the ignition and the truck purred to life. Moments later they were pulling out onto the main road.
Leon barreled out of his shed, a piece of paper in his hand. He tripped running over to the porch, catching himself. "W-where's boss?!" Worry rattled his voice as he ran up to Tea and Slick.
"He just left with Britha to take Marsh home, why?" Tea looked over to Slick as Leon handed him the paper.
Slick's eyes widened as he slapped the paper to Leons chest and darted to the garage.
"What's going on?!" Tea demanded, her eyes fell onto Leon, who handed her the paper.
A loud roar ripped through the air as Slick whipped his sleek silver Lamborghini Veneno around, his foot pressed the gas and the car jumped from its speed of 5 to 80. The back wheels spun quickly as the front met the pavement of the street and quickly disapeard from sight.
"May Aleicia save them all, I've never had more drama in my life.." Tea lowered her voice as Leon placed his hand on her shoulder and led her back inside.
