In fact, I was actually, for once, satisfied. Harry wanted me and he had admitted it in his way. I was pleased with that. I couldn't help but smile and actually I felt like a new man. I wasn't afraid that people would call me gay, because this as we now had still felt right. I stayed at Harrys place on that weekend, just because I didn't want to be lonely without him. On Saturday afternoon, we decided to leave the secure walls and go out. We walked in silence next to each other, and even that he didn't openly showed that we were a couple, I was still happy. Yes, it felt like it didn't matter what others thought or believed. I was sure about all that as we were doing and I was sure about him.
It was a lot of people out and when we arrived to the aria where the shops where, was the biggest problem that we could get away from each other. Dream of my surprise when I felt Harry gently entwined his fingers in my fingers. I looked up at him, but he showed nothing. He just looked innocent and normal straight ahead. I couldn't help but smile and feel the tingle in my stomach. Yes, it felt in the entire body. The heat from his hand and I couldn't stop loving the situation. He held open my hand and he had no problem with it.
"Are you hungry?"
Yes, he asked the question when we began to feel the smells from restaurants. Yes, I was hungry. I was almost always hungry. I loved food.
"Yes?"
Harry smiled and looked straight at me. He stopped, I stopped.
"What's your favorite food? I mean, you like chicken, but how would you like to have your chicken?"
I swallowed. Was this a trick question?
"Uh, I guess I love grilled chicken?"
He laughed a bit and nodded.
"Okay, Niall, I'll buy you grilled chicken." He squeezed my hand lightly. "If you allow that?"
I didn't dare do anything but nod. We turned our steps toward a restaurant at the end of a street. It was a cozy little place where there weren't many guests. I suspected that Harry used to eat there, because the staff nodded kindly to him when we showed up. Harry chose a table in a corner and we put ourselves on the same side of the table, with our back to everyone else. It was as if he wanted to forget the world and to devote time for me. I took it the right way and I tried not to dwell over the causes. We would only eat food?
"So Niall, does it fee okay to hold my hand open?"
I was surprised. He asked the question as if he tested me, every second.
"And why do you ask?"
Harry smiled awry and released my hand. He raised his arm instead and took it around my shoulders, around my back against the chair.
"You smiled all the time?"
I swallowed.
"Yes, I mean, I'm not ashamed to be with you, if that's what you think."
His eyes watched me as if he didn't want to look at anything else and I felt quite small for the moment. Right as it was appeared a guy with two menus, but Harry was quick.
"A grilled chicken with rice and that wonderful sauce. I'll take what I always want. We want to drink water with the meal and perhaps wine later."
I understood that Harry really was a regular customer. The guy nodded with a smile and went away. I chose to only smile.
"Is this restaurant your favorite?"
Harry looked at me again. His hand landed on my shoulder and I felt his fingers squeezed it.
