Gemma seemed to like the house directly. I had wanted to ask why she hadn't been involved in Harry's life, but I didn't dare to ask. I saw at them that they were close together, and I was glad that Diana had regained her sister.
"So when you hit big, you hit big?"
I blushed a little.
"It's more Diana chose the house."
Diana laughed and nodded at Gemma.
"You know me? I only want the best." she then looked at me. "And it applies to everything."
I couldn't help but blush. Yes Diana had really shown me that she loved me more than anything. I could just see how the gods smiled at us and said that we were made for each other. Gemma laughed when she heard the last thing as Diana said.
"I know my sister, even with her boyfriend she took the best?"
I snorted.
"You must stop now. I'm not going to stand here and be embarrassed all day."
Diana just smiled and kissed me lightly on the cheek, then she followed Gemma outdoors to the pool. I stayed inside. Yes, I had worked a whole week now, fully, and I needed to rest. I did what all men do. I slid down on the couch and I did look up a channel with sports. I loved golf and I loved football. That was a side I didn't directly had shown up for Diana, but now she had Gemma in the house, and then maybe she didn't need me all the time?
I don't know how many hours I spent in front of the television. It felt as if I was the old Niall again. In my previous life, before Harry and long before Diana, I used to spend Saturdays and evenings in front of the television, in this way. Sometimes I had friends over and we drank beer, sometimes I chose to be alone. It was something that reassured me with this, to see when someone knocked a ball on the golf course and how he stood and tried to get as close to the hole as possible.
"Food's ready!"
I looked up from the television. Diana was standing next to the couch and she smiled awry.
"Niall, dinner's ready!"
I swallowed.
"Yes, I heard you."
She laughed a little and seemed almost amused by me.
"I've been standing here for five minutes and you didn't even hear me?"
I quickly shut off the television and stood up.
"Sorry, I was just taken by the gravity of the moment. He tried to get the ball in the hole, but he missed."
She raised an eyebrow and looked into my eyes. I saw that she was going through what I had said and I saw how it shone in her green eyes.
"I know a hole you can practice on and I promise you, to get the balls in that hole is difficult."
I couldn't help but laugh. I gave her a light kiss and then we went into the kitchen. Gemma sat at the table, ready to eat, and she seemed hungry.
"You took a long time?"
I sat down and Diana were placed next to me.
"Yes, Niall was busy looking at holes."
I reacted immediately and looked coldly at her.
"It's called golf."
Gemma just smiled and she seemed like we weren't always on the same wavelength.
"Yeah, and it's fun to watch golf?"
Diana crooked smile and nodded.
"Yes, he likes to see the balls that go down into the holes." She said it in a teasing way. I pushed quickly at her, and we changed the subject.
