Yeah, I'm on my own, feelin' alone, drink Patron

We exited the taxi, and the driver gave us a weird look before we left. Diego and I made eye contact and started laughing after I shut the door.

"He probably thought I was your dad or something," Diego said as we entered the lobby.

"Are you kidding, if anything he probably thought you were my child. You look like 10."

"Shut your fucking mouth," Diego said laughing.

We sighed in relief as we entered my room.

"So glad that's over," he said while leaning against my door.

"I'm going to shower and change in my room."

I nodded and looked at my phone and saw three missed calls from Jack and panicked. Jack picked up the second I hit the call button.

"Sofia! You've haven't answered any of my texts and calls! What's your deal?"

"I know, I'm really sorry. A lot has been going on lately. I've been in LA, and it's super busy."

"Well, I'm busy too! Do you think you're better than me or something just because you could write a few rap songs?"

"Um... excuse me."

"This used to be dope, Sofia, but I don't know about you anymore."

The fight went on for a while, and I didn't even notice Diego entering my room halfway through it.

"Honestly, you're irrelevant to me, Jack. I have a new life now; you enjoy yours."

I hung up and threw my phone on the bed and watched it fall onto the floor. I threw myself on my bed in frustration. Diego picked my phone off the floor and sat next to me. I saw he was about to speak but, I cut him off.

"You don't have to apologize. I'm fine, promise."

"Promise?" he said.

"Yeah, I mean, it's for the best. I was tired of him anyway."

I sat up, and he put his arm around my shoulder and gave me a weak smile.

I got up and went to the bathroom. I threw on an oversized t-shirt and looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't know what to think. Should I try to get closer to Diego now that I broke up with Jack, or should I try not to start anything?

Diego was sitting on the couch with two bottles of patron.

"I thought we could celebrate," he said.

"To what?" I laughed.

"I don't know...your freedom," he said.

About an hour later we were jumping on the bed and dancing. I was screaming at the top of my lungs to whatever song was playing. I tried to hop on his back, so that he could carry me, but we both fell on top of my bed laughing. He landed on top of me, and I didn't realize how close our faces were until I could feel his breath on my skin. I slid out from underneath him.

"Come on!" I said

I got up and walked to the balcony to look at the skyline. I put my hands on the railing of the balcony and leaned over. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. Diego nuzzled his head into my neck and slowly grazed his lips over my skin. I got chills all over my body.

"It all looks so beautiful," I said.

"I wish I could stay here forever. Never go back on tour and just be with you," he said into my ear.

"You know I want that too. But we can see each other again, for sure," I said.

"I'm not trying to sound corny or anything, but you're actually so different from any girl I've met. You let me express who I am; not tear me down because of it," he said.

I turned around to face him and started in his green eyes that were bright from the moonlight.

"Of course I will, baby. We need to work together. It's hard in this industry," I said.

Diego smirked. "So that's what we are? Business partners?"

"That's all you said you wanted from me when we first met," I laughed.

"Yeah, but I you never told me what you wanted from me," he said.

"Well maybe I wanted a little bit more than that," I said while putting my arms around his waist. I pushed him back inside, and he laid down on the bed. I straddled him and pinned his arms above his head. I leaned in to get my face closer to his and hesitated before Diego crashed our lips together. It was intense and hot like we were trying to get something back from each other; something that we wanted since the day we first met. The room was silent besides the sounds of lips smacking together. I bit Diego's lip and pulled back and felt him shudder underneath my body. He flipped us over, and I took off my shirt and tossed it lazily somewhere. He started pressing kisses to my neck while I pulled at his hair. After a minute he stopped and gazed over my face. Of course, I had to be the one to fuck up and ruin the moment by giggling like crazy. Diego started laughing too.

"Why are you laughing?" he said.

"I don't even know," I said while sitting up.

I put my hands underneath his hoodie and pulled it over his head along with his shirt. I flipped him back over and pressed our foreheads together.

"Hi," I said smiling.

'Hey," he breathed out.

I ran my hand over his chest. He wasn't that muscular and had a thin body type, but he was easily the most gorgeous guy I've seen. I started sucking at his neck and put my hands on his thighs. I began to take off his sweatpants, but he stopped me.

"Fuck. Sofia, no, we need to stop."

"This isn't right. You're drunk, and I'm making a mistake. We've been being stupid this whole week. Last night, right now, we can't do this," he said.

I sat up.

"What are you talking about? It's not a big deal," I said.

"It is because I like you for real. I don't want to mess this up," he said.

"Diego, you're not making any sense."

"We would never work out. There's too much shit in the way. Also, you're 16; you don't need a guy like me."

I laid back down and put my head on his chest.

"You're right, but we have time. We don't need to figure it all out right now."

I pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.

"Can I stay here tonight?" he asked.

"Of course."

I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Diego followed behind me and sat on the bathroom counter.

"Sorry, I kind of ruined the moment," he said.

"No, you did the right thing," I assured him.

"I know Post hates me," he said quickly.

My eyes widened.

"That came out of nowhere. Who gave you that idea?" I said.

"I feel like Omar does now too. People are always talking about protecting you and stuff, and what the fuck am I doing now?" he said.

"Stop, don't think like that. I choose to do this too. It's not like you forced yourself on me," I said.

He hopped off the counter and put his shirt back on.

I went back to my room and saw he was already laying down on my bed.

"Listen, this isn't anything to worry over. I promise everything is going to work out," I said.

I lied down next to him and stoked his cheek.

"I guess so," he said.

I turned off the lamp on the bedside table.

"We should sleep, baby. We have to get up early tomorrow."
